His scoring ability was also often overlooked. He was a tremendous shooter (though his form wasn't exactly textbook) who hit some huge shots during his career, and when called upon could score a lot of points. With the Mailman around and a couple of other capable support players (such as Jeff Hornacek), he never had to be a high scoring point guard like some of the guys who came along during the 90s.

agreed, and i would even call him one of the toughest players ever.. he was setting screens on people that were way taller and bigger than him.
another interesting state, in his nba career he played 99% of his games.. 1,504 out of 1,526 games.. he's only missed 22 games his entire career
