After trading K-Mart for 3 future drft picks, J-Kidd might demand for a trade (ala-Shaq style).

I can't say that I blame Kidd, the K-Mart deal was a bad move on New Jersey's part. But as the article mentions, it won't be easy for the Nets to trade Kidd with the contract he signed last year.

Ratner is cutting costs, they don't have the $$$ and basically they came down to Martin vs. RJ (who will be a FA next year). They don't want to pay 3 max contracts (Kidd, Martin, and RJ) and they feel RJ is the better player, which I agree with. I don't blame Kidd for wanting out either, you just dealt the heart of your team away, but hey, maybe he should look at his own contract to see why that happened.

Call me crazy, and I'm one of those "Kidd changes an entire team around", but if it were up to me, I would've dealt Kidd and re-signed KMart. I think it's time to let Kidd go and look into the future. You have 24 million coming off the books next year with Deke and Kittles' contracts expiring, more than enough to re-sign RJ. RJ and Martin almost beat the Pistons, well they had an injured Kidd. I think his contract is too long and expensive, he's getting on the old side, and has bad knees. The last few years of that contract is going to make someone cringe when Kidd is struggling.

Imagine Jason Kidd and Marbury in the same backcourt... kinda like snow and iverson, with marbury at the shooting guard... imagine..

jason kidd shoulda signed with san antonio. Its not like New Jersey management has a history of loyalty or good decisions. What a dumb ass.

imagine if j. kidd went to the clips..

he probably won't tho, considering how they have livingston -- but then again i wouldn't really be surprised if the clips trade him away for j.kidd

The New Jersey Nets acknowledge that they've gone from a championship contender to the middle of the pack in making a business decision to trade Kenyon Martin to Denver

I guess Kidd could be heading somewhere West....hmm..Dallas needs a point guard...Nets ain't going anywhere according to there GM...Walker is on his final year..
kidd for walker? (maybe a few others too but these are the main pieces)
