Just a question esp. to All Lakers fans. if phil decides to take a leave (he won't retire coz he'll be back as one commentator said and i agree with him) who do you think is the best replacement since scott will not be available coz he'll be coaching NO.

Humm, who should follow up probably the best coach in the NBA?

Well, till a few days ago it was Scott, I have no idea who's free at the moment, maybe if you could do some research and give us a list of names, I could pick from those.

On a sidenote, isn't Golden State's coach being fired or is fired? Well, he did a pretty good job with them the year before, he just didnt have much to work with after Arenas left, Jamison got traded for Van Exel, who in turn was injured for a large part of the season. I don't think he could follow up Jackson, no one can IMHO, but still...he could be considered?

i frankly can not wait to see the Lakers Collapse after Philly leaves cuz theres gonna be no more Shaq (he said he wont play in LA if Phil isnt there, so he'll get traded to Orlando for the 1st round pick in the draft, and he'll finish where he started) No More Malone (he's gonna retire too) No More Payton (He Might retire, maybe not tho) and No More Koh-Bay! (Cuz' He'll Be Guilty!) then what do the Lakers have? Derek Fisher?! Oooooooooooooo the guy that basically eliminated the Spurs, oooooooooooo News Falsh Derek- you have to be behind by less than 1 if you wanna make another miracle shot, and believe me, thats not gonna be happening!

yeaha and thats my rant on the LA Lakers
(Sorry its 10 in the morning here in america, and i'm very pissed lol)

You're forgiven for you're bad mood. :P

First off, by the looks of it, Kobe might get off scott free, see Kobe thread.

Secondly, it's all a process of rebuilding, if they will be down for a few years, they will rise again. Unless you're the Clippers though.

Anywho, whatever happens, and say Shaq does end up in Orlando, I will remain a Laker fan + a Shaq fan, thus I will watch Orlando games, rooting for Shaq, but if the two teams were to square off, I would pick the Lakers. :)

Btw, what's your favorite team? Dallas right? They have ehm, 5 All-Star caliber players, where are they again? Oh, exited the playoffs in the first round? And these old geesers + a rapist are still in the playoffs kicking the MVP's team's ass? What a shame. Where's the world going to.

Perhaps Lakers' assistant Jim Cleamons will take over. He's been on Jackson's staff for a while, he's had a short stint as a head coach, and I believe that Phil has actually commented that Cleamons is ready for another shot at being a head coach in the not too distant past.

George Karl's name is also been mentioned, Kupchak likes him because they balled together in college or something, Payton has said he likes him.

Again, I dont have a link, but if I'm not believed, I'll look it up. (Y)

I was hoping that Jim would comeback to coach the Bulls. I think Skiles is only going to be there for a short stint to give the Bulls a kick in the ass and to instill a good work ethic that many of these young guys lack. :?
