NBA Comparisons

Postby Ruff Ryder on Mon Dec 15, 2003 12:28 am

If you were to compare yourself to any NBA Player who would it be?

I'd say I'm like a Ben Wallace/Etan Thomas. I dont block as many as Big Ben but I grab alot of boards. I'm usually pretty quiet offrnsively though.

i compare myself to ( )

(some nba player that is atheletic, can jump pretty damn high, undersized, shoots fairly well, and grabs rebounds fairly well and can hit circus shots occasionally.)

An undersized Sabonis on offense and Dennis Rodman on defense because I'm a very good rebounder and I can shut my guy down.

Dwayne Wade....i love to drive and have sick hops too i shoot more often than he does tho, good rebounder for my size and i can drop dimes like a mad man im a better free throw shooter tho, 90% baby....I can't throw down some of the ones he does since im only 5'11 but i got a few poster in my time......which has only been 3 years

On the Off. side...Darko 'cause i score like 10 point the whole season...but like Robby said, a Mini Sabonis too, i can make great passes.
On D: in the perimeter, Ron Artest, because i can shutdown the other team best player. In the post, Big Ben or Rodman, underzised, but great defensive players.

Penny Hardaway in 96-97 .. playing SG not PG..
I"m a good passer but usually have to score on my team cuz thats my top skill on posting up smaller guards

but i'm obsessed about facing up midrange and takin jumpers ( piece )

EG that thread was ancient, so I think it's reasonable that there's a new one.
I'm not sure, but this is my game.

My game is the occaisional jumper (when I'm wide-open) to keep the defence honest, but mostly driving and eaither scoring, or drawing the d and dishing. In my little rec league I get about 16 points, 6 dimes a steal and a few boards (I'm a terrbile rebounder though.) On my school team I'll usually get a total of 10 minutes (out of 32) and score 4-6 points (on like 4 shots, I don't shoot often, and shoot a good %) but I'll have 5 dimes or so. Mostly by lobbing it over defenders on the break and boucne passes between people.

On D I keep my feet moving and get a few steals but mostly just force bad desicions.

If you mixture Allen Iverson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, you got me :)
No, but seriously, sometimes I like going hard to the basket and doing
crazy layups like AI, and sometimes (often when I'm too tired of doing AI goals) I going for the hook shoots.
I also love to grabbing offensive rebounds and score from the inside.

Earl Boykins is one strong motha! I guess since you have the speed of Greg Ostertag your used to getting dunked on and posterized because your to slow(like Greg) to get out of the way! :D

If Ron Artest was a center, I would be him, because I will score occassionaly, play good D, and have a bad temper. I am more of a post player, though.

I can score and score heaps when I'm hot...but when I'm cold I'm sh*t. My friends say I'm real streaky...I love to chellenge bigger ppl to rebounds and half of the time win/ I got hops...and love to pass...If I make an awesome pass I go psyc!...Once I was tripled in the paint and I passed behind my back and around the guys to my big man and he scored...I was so proud! :D

By the way...when I'm going for a breakaway lay-up I try to wave at the crowd at the same time (You know Kobe trys to pose to the camera too...) but I guess I'm more like Steve Francis...
