Losing Palette

Postby Alex Italo on Thu Mar 06, 2003 3:29 am

Hi, I'm still a "rookie" using EAGE and I need some help about palettes.

Here is the deal:
I was trying to change a number graphic in a jersey file of NBA Live 2000. I exported the graphic to a bmp file, changed it and replaced the old one using the Import Wizard. The problem is that the changed graphic lost all its palette, including transparency and any other properties. (When I click the Palette Workbench button, a message says that graphic doesn't have any palette.)

How can I solve this?

Thanks in advance,
Alex Italo

When you export your file, after you have edited it, make sure that it is an 8 bit per pixel file. True and High color images are 16, 24, and 32 bits per pixel and have no palette.

I am not sure this helps much as the problem you are trying to solve as a number of steps. You can always ask more questions :)
