Hello.

NBALIVE2000FAQ

There is an ability limitation when a new player is made.

Can new making player's rating be made unrestricted?

xpoing is correct, the only way around it is to make modifications to a player's ratings in the database itself.

Andrew,

Greetings. I've been attempting to obtain an answer to this inquiry for a few years . Might you help me out here:

I have created several teams in 2000 whose homecourts I'd like to change from the default EA created-team court to the various all-decade team courts. Given the fact that courts are replaceable via the game's database, I'm assuming this too is possible. Is there a way, Andrew? What might it be? Thanks so much. Peace . . .

MT

The easiest way is probably to have the teams use their own custom artwork, which means saving the jerseys etc with their own custom names and updating the custom team's TEAMABR (team abbreviation) entries accordingly.

I'll try this. If I'm understanding you correctly. But what specific database values do I change to switch homecourts? Thanks. Best,

That should be governed by the team abbreviation as well; you'd need to make sure you named the copy of the court files to match the new TEAMABR value.
