I discovered a NEW Live '01 the other day by changing camera angles...Ever since i started playing NBA Live 2001 i've been using the 'wired' camera view zoomed all the way...now i started using the 'follow' view and It's great! you get more of a perspective of the Point guard...

I played a few games of NBA Live 2001 after playing the Live 2003 demo for a while. Live 2001 is still a fun game but to me the offensive rebound bug is even more aggravating now than ever before (after seeing the improvement in NBA Live 2003 regarding the offensive rebounding). The game also seems so slow (not that Live 2003 is the perfect speed either) and the player animations such as the crossover etc. seem so mechanical now that I've played Live 2003. Lastly, I never realized how small the players are in relation to the court for Live 2001...the court seems so huge! :D

Like I said, it's still fun...but as soon as I get Live 2003 I think Live 2001 will go onto the shelf and collect dust...

I play Live 2001 way too much still. I play a 48 minute game everyday, but I still kinda suck at it. I win most my games, but the scores are always something like 80-87. Then again, I mostly use the lower rated teams and the Pistons. I think it is still good, but from the demo, I want live 2003. I think I'll still play 2001 once in a while... maybe even make some cyberfaces...

I play about 3 48mins games of live a week. I am playing a season for the Rockets & following the exact NBA schedule etc etc. I really enjoy the gameplay.

But, what I find most enjoyable & interesting is making my league mimic the real NBA as closely as possible. I tweak player ratings continually, reorder rosters, move guys on & off IL following real life, (ie: Shaq out for LA...in my league LA are 1-6 rite now...pretty close to 2-5 in real life, Kobe is averaging 40pts trying to take up slack but to no avail & to my pleasure  ). The Live Toolkit is really useful for this. I play with primacy, fatigue & awareness quite alot to get teams to distribute shots and minutes like they should.

Also, thanks to all you patching gurus out there, I have just about installed patches for my entire game. Just got a few new rooks to get sorted.

I am looking forward to Live2K3 but I think I will find it hard to let go of Live2K1

I wait for Live 2004.Live 2003 is too speed to be real, you can make 200 points per game very easy.
