Why are we still playing 2000?

Anyone has played nba live 2004 ????
Is this better gameplay and simulation than nba live 2000 ????

I played Live 2004 - tried - about 10 days but then return to 2000 and did not look back to 2004. I think it is most like an arcade game. I play 2000 for four years and it is still competative and realistic for me.
