Installation Error!!

The problem I have with installing NBA live 2001 on my Windows XP home edition computer is that it goes through everything, reaches the point where it asks you to create short cut to desktop, etc, then all of a sudden an error comes up regarding something about speech component. I then went to my computer to start the cd again and the box came up without the play option but the install option even though just moments ago I installed with the error emerging. Any help will be appreciated.

I always get this error trying to install it with windows 95 and 98 compatibility mode.
