Nba live 2000 and ATI RADEON 9800 PRO does not work!!!!!!

I have talked to Alex and have tried everything.The 9800 pro and live 2000 will NOT reconize anything other then software renderer in the 3d setup.It very frustrating because I would love to play this game in better graphics.If anybody has a solution I am all eyes.....Live 2004 is out in two weeks so the pain should not be much longer...
