Player Injuries

Why hasn't the NBA Live team thought about adding in game player injuries? This is apart of life and it's not in the game and hasn't been for a while. I hate to be picky but this is essential and something so basic to not have in the game since the early 2000's...am I the only one who cares about realism???

It's not that they haven't thought of it, it's that it hasn't been implemented yet while the LIVE Motion physics system has been developed and polished behind the scenes. With all the player movement and collisions they've been talking about, I too hope that injuries are back in the game this year. It definitely makes Dynasty more challenging and interesting when you end up losing a player for a few games (or longer).

Exactly! Not even just the Dynasty Mode but if I'm playing a fellow top ranked player or just a friend that's good at the game I want to play someone who's not heavily dependent on a single player. I'm the type that will study the entire team and learn them all from top to bottom, so if my star goes down, I know I could beat my opponent still because of my skill level and not just cause of a star. I sure hope they do add this.

I'm remaining optimistic, given the work that's gone into physics. There did appear to be some limping/slow to get up animations in NBA Live 15, so I'm hoping this is the year they return. NBA Live 10 had some injured animations which were acknowledged in the commentary, but no injuries were actually recognised.

Also, a belated welcome to the Forum!

Speaking of physics Andrew did you see that very small sample size of nba live 16 posted on twitter, 20 seconds of the Thunder vs Clippers?

I was disappointed to see that when Westbrook starts the animation to drive and dunk even though he has two defender's on him he still takes off for a monster slam while the D just glides backwards.

It was a very small sample and there is no telling how old the clip really is either but I hope this isn't the case with overpowering animations again and I hope we can tone that down with the sliders too.

The one a while back? Yeah, it suggested there's still room for improvement as far as cutting down on some of the "rocket" dunks and layups.

Ah, I thought you meant one of the ones they shared on the official social media. What was on display at E3 wasn't the latest build, for what that's worth.
