Commissioner Miles’s celebration of the 20th Goodman Anniversary is off to great start, with the legendary league partnering with EA Sports to have the “Barry Farms Coliseum” featured on NBA Live 17.
“They called me, I didn’t call them,” Commissioner Miles said.
The Goodman League will be one of a number of different streetball courts that will be available for players to choose from. For years video games have made integrated streetball courts into video games but this the first time the Goodman League will be featured on a video game.
“This puts us in a different spotlight because everybody plays NBA Live.” The Commissioner said about the league making their video game debut.
“[EA Sports] will come down to the live recording to catch the sounds of Inside The Gates. I invited them down to come opening day so they catch some live game action.”
The closet thing the League has seen with video game appearance was when Goodman League MVP, Hugh Jones aka Baby Shaq, was featured in And-1 Streetball video game in 2006. No notable players will be used in the game, only courts. The Drew League and Dyckman are also to be used as playable courts.
As the Goodman20th anniversary approaches, this just add extra excitement to what should be a great summer. Commissioner Miles also noted that the Goodman will take on Dyckman League in a rematch of last year’s epic battle. More info for this summer is on it’s way, STAY TUNED!
