any suggestions on tweaking the settings or in the nvidia control panel or other things to run the game smoothly without setting it to the lowest settings?. Thanks. My laptop specs are GPU: GeForce GT 635M

Your laptop isn't really built for gaming... I wouldn't know what you could do with it unfortunately.

Enough specs for last gen nba 2k games, but for 2k15 with new graphics both cpu and gpu are lacking.
Try to put everything on low, resolution 1280x720. If things rungs very well, increase settings little by little until its laggy again and use best non-laggy settings.
