Nba 2k15 ATI Radeon problem

Postby johnbrasson on Wed Oct 08, 2014 11:24 pm

I have a problem with my nba 2k15. Low frame rate with high or low video settings and something completely wrong with the game itself. Image

I'm using: I5 2.26 GHZ, Ati Mobility Radeon HD5650

Video drivers are the latest. I had similar problem with 2k14. Strangely I solved the problem by pressing alt+cntrl+del in game and changing the password. Doesn't work on this one though.

It's weird because I know people who are playing it with worse graphic cards, so it is clearly the problem with response to nba 2k15. Nvidia graphic card users solve the problem by setting high performance on their video card settings. But it doesn't work for me and my catalyst.

16 GB RAM
Radeon HD 8800M

Hi guys,

I think i also have the same problem with this game as you do. I have I5, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and Ati Radeon 8850M graphics card, and the game looks terrible, and when i enter the game the players are glowing (they almost look like ghosts).

Some people fixed the problem by installing directx. So go to your Nba 2k15 folder > _CommonRedist > Directx > Jun2010 > DXSETUP.EXE

Does your I5 have an integrated graphics chip? If so, find the VideoSettings.cfg in your users/username/AppData/Roaming/2K Sportrs/NBA 2K15 directory and change Adapter = 0 to Adapter = 1.

Well I solved the problem with the oddly looking player. Ati had a new late september catalyst control center which helped. Now the problem is still with stuttering and occasional lag. And I really believe it can be fixed, because I was playing couple games with the lag and the stuttering and in one game, maybe in the middle, after some animation(interview or half time report), I could play the game normally. You could clearly see the improvements of the game speed. Once in a while I got stuttering, but still the game worked as fine as it could. I believe we have to wait for the patch or something for optimization...

That's really BAD gfx card. I have 4650 1 GB version I don't want to even try if it works. Upgrade to at least 7xxx series.
