- Tried to run the game in Steam offline mode or with my internet unplugged (this seems to work for a lot of people that can't launch it while online, but it didn't fix anything for me).
- Made sure that my Nvidia drivers were the latest version (344.11, as of this writing). Also uninstalled my GPU altogether and reinstalled it along with the drivers with a clean setup.
- Tried setting the game's .exe to run as administrator.
- Tried reinstalling the latest versions of DirectX.
- Tried reinstalling the latest versions of C++ redistributable.
- Tried reinstalling the latest versions of .NET Framework.
- Tried verifying the game's cache several times.
- Tried reinstalling Steam altogether.
- Tried disabling my Anti Virus software when executing or installing the game.
- Tried deleting the game from my library and redownloading it altogether, then installing it again.
- Tried forcing V-Sync and Triple Buffer from the Nvidia Control Pannel.
- Tried creating a .cfg file with other people's settings in the required path.
- Tried replacing my .dll files with those of somebody else that has been able to play.
- Tried deleting the Steam folder at C/ProgramData
- Restarted Steam and my computer about 50 times.
- Made sure my version of Windows is updated.

JWL3 wrote:I contacted Steam about transferring the game to my friend's account who can actually run the game and, after 7 days, they emailed me back a canned response copy and pasted from their FAQ. Pissed me off so much - not only are you not responding in time, you're not even responding. I hate digital copy games - in the past, I would have simply given him the CD and we'd be good.
Brawn Shadley wrote: Because once you activate a game to your Steam Library it's yours and can't transfer it to a different account, no wonder support copy-pasted a response from the FAQ, it's basic Steam knowledge if you read the basic Steam FAQs.

Another method is Steam Family Library Sharing. You can authorize your friend's PC and account to have access to your full Steam Library
JWL3 wrote:Well, I knew that much. Was hoping they'd make an exception as I only "played" the game 15 minutes and even then, only because they count starting up the game and crashing as about a minute each time.
JWL3 wrote:Never heard of this. Really? How's the option activated. I doubt 2k15 will be one of these games.
Brawn Shadley wrote:You'd be more likely to get a refund for the game if you bought it through Steam than the chance of it being transferred to another account.
I recall instances of people being refunded (through Steam Wallet) with the particular game being removed from their Steam Library. It's just a matter of convincing support with your reasons that the game you bought is real shitty that makes you unable to play it continuously, like a shitty required online connection even though a game has shitty servers (forgot what game that was) or even a religious reason, maybe say Durant being the cover player offends your worship of the one true god-king Kobe.
