What would be the reasonable card to upgrade to?

GTX 760 I guess (depending on rest of your pc). If you aren't in rush, I would wait for Q2 2015 for 20nm.

I know there were other posts, sorry for terrible quoting.

Finally got this PC setup again and running the game.

:(

1080p Max settings does get a consistent 60fps 75% of the time, the drops were down to the 10s. Recommended settings were 720p, textures on low, and everything else maxed. With that I was getting a "clean" 60fps, but I mean c'mon, PC, nothing clean about those numbers. Still unsure which settings I want to sacrifice for frames, but I have started looking for local shops that sell 970s

Can i ask whats your cpu? and how much ram you got there?
If its quad and something around 4-8gb u should run smooth 60fps with 1080i only with textures on medium +4xAA and quality of AA also 4.

I just settled on 720p with low textures and max everything else (including 8x32 AA), constant 60fps with dips for camera cuts/replays. Even with minimum video/effect settings, and high cloth/model and medium texture, I was dipping hard. It's only a 1gb 560 Ti card, so that is definitely the limiting factor with those textures.

I could boost to 1600x900 and get some extra pixels without too much of a hit on performance, but enough for me to just want the constant 60...especially when the PS4 is pumping 60/30fps with 1080p on a larger screen a few feet away from my computer.....soon enough though that will change.
Opinions are my own.

Jao, I have noticed going from 8x32 to 4x16 gives me a pretty big increase in FPS and it still looks great. If I were you I would do that before lowering any of the other settings. It may allow you to put your textures on medium.

if u prefer highest AA over low textures i have no idea for you. Like i said try AAx4 quality x4 but textures on medium and 1080 reso. Game on this sets looks way better than 720 and textures on low. You have very similar spec.

I can't run game on low perfomance without lags (preference for texture is medium, all other is low) on this laptop specs:

Processor : AMD A10-5750M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 4CPU-s = 2,5gHZ
RAM : 4 GB DDR3L 1600 MHz
GFX : AMD Radeon® HD 8550G + Radeon® HD 8670M Dual Graphics with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
Arch : Win 8.1 64 Bit

Is it normall? o.O

Oh no, I tried it with AA off before I did this and wasn't able to bump textures to medium. I could probably get a bump with resolution but then I'd really have to see the textures for what they are.

Double post for safety.

Updated my drivers, surprise performance boost, eh. I can run medium textures with infrequent dips to ~55 (and not noticeable without a FPS tracker on screen) with 8x8 AA. Tried getting greedy with 1600x900 no AA plus medium textures and the dips were too much.

To note, I play with that 2K cam still, so the "dips" are when the camera turns and shows a lot of the crowd. I could probably change to broadcast or not care about hitting 60fps as much, but no.

It must be 60fps  but good for you, finally reach your highest sets with stable 60fps. My spec is 470gtx which is very similar with your 560, if u have i7quad or i5quad u should easily reach 1080 resolution, so there must something wrong on your side. How much RAM? Maybe its because of your 1gb of Vram on your gpu. Mine have 1,25GB.

Will try tweaking more when I get home

Yes, but I would take off 16 gb of ram because there aren't many games, if any, that are going be able to use that. I would spend the extra savings on an nvidia card.

Gtx 970 or gtx 980. More performance, less power draw, and quieter.

(Y)
+ better temperatures+ better drivers and probably better fps in games because of better optimalization for nvidia gpus.
970 is the best choice right now price/performance.

suirad, your cpu will block possibilities of 970, if u dont want to change whole platform best choice is 770 from NV or 290 from ATI, but not new ones, look for some with 1-2 year of warranty. If u want to buy 970 its right now best price/power gpu but u need at least 4ghz to use whole 970 power. In my country second hand 770/290 with 1-2 year of warranty cost 50% price of new 970, check how it looks in your country.

just3n21, i think no chance for you

Lorakster, sry bro, you problem is your gpu, u will run but with fps drops and all low/medium

sko thx a bunch im gonna look into it

Hi, I'm new here and NBA 2k15 will be my first bball game.

I was wondering of anyone could help me out, would my laptop run this game? If it means anything, it is a HP Pavillion.

Processor: AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics Quad Core @ 1.90GHz
RAM: 12GB
System type: Windows 8 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7640G + 8600M Dual Graphics
Disk space: 267 GB
Sound card: AMD High Definition Audio Device
Resolution: 1366 x 768

Thanks in advance!

I've heard some horror stories about Dual Graphics setups. It was a while back, though and I don't know if it holds true today. Basically, I heard that Dual Graphics increases the benchmark results, but the in-game result is still laggy and stutters, because many of the extra frames are dropped. Also, if the dedicated card (8600M) is the 8670, you might be able to run 2K15 ok since it has ddr3 ram, but if the 8600M is the 8690, it's ddr5, and those don't show an improvement with dual graphics.

Again, this is old information. I think you will be able to run the game but you won't be able to max out the graphic detail. Whether it will end up with the stutters or not, I can not tell you.

Ofc game will run...with 2k14 look, forget about next gen experience. Low with smooth 60fps...maybe. 840m is low budget gpu, sry must be honest.
