Display problem?

Postby akosibimby on Mon Dec 29, 2014 2:08 pm

Hi Guys,

I just recently change my monitor from VGA to DVI. When I played this game it seems to have a yellowish aura specifically when I am sprinting on the court. I tried changing some options in video configuration but it did not work. Can you help me with this one? Thanks!

I split your post since it was not a bug specific to the game.

I would check to see that the DVI cable is completely connected by unplugging it and replugging it. It sounds like a ghosting issue with your monitor. What type of monitor do you have?

Try what PDub has said.

If the problem persists:
What's your frequency? (refresh rate)

Hi Pdub. Thanks for the feedback I tried to unplugging and replugging it, double checked if it properly plug in. The cable that im using right now is DVI-D (single link) and my monitor is a 19" Samsung syncmaster. Also, it only happens when i play nba 2k15 and i never had this issue when i was using my VGA monitor. I hope you can help me with this concern thanks :bowdown2: :bowdown2:

Hi Dommy73, Thanks for the feedback. my Monitor refresh rate right now is 75. I tried both 60 and 75 refresh rate in both my monitor and NBA 2k15 hoping to solve the issue but it does not work. Also, I have tried tweaking some options in the video configuration and the videoconfig file in the %appdata% but none of them solve the issue. Do you have any other suggestion to solve this issue? Thanks! :bowdown2: :bowdown2:

Is your monitor an LCD?

It sounds like you are just experiencing what is called ghosting. It is common with some LCD monitors. It may be more or less pronounced depending on what is on the screen and how fast it moves.

Yes Pdub, it is a LCD DVi monitor. it is possible to fix it? my gameplay is smooth however it is kinda weird having a kinda like THE FLASH aura when a player sprinting on the court

Googled around, try this:
RTA, Press Menu, Choose the one with 3 bars, you know, like an equalizer, choose RTA, then disable it

Also, use 75Hz refresh rate (I've seen something similar when non-native refresh rate was used).

The display supposedly remembers the settings until you turn it off.
