Ask GM For A Superstar

Postby Slim5050 on Wed Oct 29, 2014 3:31 am

If id like to have a certain superstar in my team in my career, can i ask a GM to propose a trade to the team hes in?I didnt get past rookie year yet.For example if id play for Celtics as im not really fan of Rondo, so i would bench him(im playing a PG aswell), he could eventually get traded and we could get some other superstar? :(

At the social media section on MyCareer, when you go to the list of the entire league, choose a certain player (in this case, the player you want to team up with), doesn't matter if he's following you or not, and there will be an option there "Ask to form big 3"

Personally, I haven't tried this myself. I'm with the Orlando Magic and I play the PG position and you would know that there isn't really anybody spectacular there except for some few rising stars. I want to maybe do this option to D. Wade but I'm afraid some of my key players would be traded away.

Do this and let me know what happens.

Im on Orlando too :D I did some research and some say that the player u want to team up with has to be your "friend" and has to follow you on social media, otherwise he will just laugh at you.Ill try to do it when i get on the team i want to be for a second year (Bulls, Celtics,Heat or Spurs) :P

Tried this randomly on Joel Embiid (in 2nd year + he follows me). He just told me "A team with you and me would be unstoppable. Try to make it happens." Aaaaand that's all, nothing else to do.. But it's maybe cause he has a contract until 2017 adnd no player to send to the 76ers (I'm at Lakers and except me and maybe Randle nobody can worth a Embiid, Kobe looks to be in his last year tho)
And is it any way to get your own teammate traded ? I'd really like to get Tony Snell traded (He got traded past year with Boozer, isn't that funny, Boozer is back in Chicago) cause this guy is horrible. He take stupid shots every time he got the ball and of course miss them all. We just lose last game because of him (take 4 3pts with defenser on him and a stupid layup on Bosh when we were down by 5 at 1mn left. Can't you just pass the ball to Kobe or me ?)

it doesnt mean there will be a trade all it means is that the player you ask to form a big 3 with might sign with your team in the off season if hes a FA, i havent found anyway to influence who you play with other then that. Its why we need a way to edit rosters in mycareer desperately i hate certain players the things they do are just moronic.

Speaking of which, does teammate chemistry do anything to your team's performance in game? I want to call out the absolutely useless sacks of meat on my King's team (Jason Thompson, Reggie Evans, Carl Landry) in Social Media but our chemistry is at 93% now.

HAHA.... the first year Kings are Horrible.
Thats i traded to Celtics (Want to be the Alpha in a Big Market) but they sucked even bad...
I asked for a trade back to Kings

Trust me its all about knowing your teammates tendencies & Playstyles...

For Eg)
All 3 are Post / Close to Basket Players & help spread the floor.
Use the Play that Involves Feeding the Post & cutting for an Easy Layup of the screen from Dcollison/RGay
With Evans the Rebounding (Off) is Excellent. I usually take shots (contested or not) when hes in the Paint.
Carl Landry works comparatively better at the Pick & Roll.

Defense is basically absent in the Post Players when Jason Smith / Steve Adams / Kelly Olynk basically drop Fadeaways at 90+%

D Cousins is a BEAST!!!!
Rudy Gay shoots when open.
Also they got Gerald Green & Biyombo in a Trade

Ramon sessions & Nick Stauskas SUCK!!!!

FYI i Play HOF & Default (SG 35/6/8 at 50-55%)

That said if you watch some team rather regularly it might be good idea to go play with them - I did this with my SF and went to Miami. Cutting and either finishing or passing out to the open man on the perimeter worked perfectly as I know their strategy (to some extent) from watching them.

Got so sick of the Kings that I immediately signed with Dallas the next season. First game: 22 assists! None of the Kings can finish a play. You can have an awesome pass to them under the paint and they brick jumpers or layups. The only two player worth anything are Cousins and Gay and the computer injures them on purpose. Lost so many games and had terrible stats.

On the first season yep, but on the second they get better, also on mycareer they traded some garbage players for wesley matthews and the dude can make wide open jumpers, also bradon brass too , he is 91 mid range.

But Carl Landry was an awesome sixth man before :(

You can actually reply to players in your social media? I just got signed for the rest of the season by the bucks so I'm not that far yet in MyCareer.
