cant play online because game uses old roster

hi guys
i was playing online quick games fine, until saturday. i got a message something about network problem and since then i cant start an online quick game. i find opponent make our adjustments and when it loads 99% it throws me to main menu saying'' there was a problem that prevents gameplay to continue''.i though it has no connection to the servers but this wasnt the case since it could find opponents to play with. after a while i realised that the game uses the original roster that came with the game and not the current as it should. (my starting 5 for the team where wrong). so i tried many things like verify cache integrity through steam, play a quick offline game and load the current roster from the given option but no success. so what should i do? uninstall game and steam and reinstall it from the beginning(very painfull due to the size of the game) or is there another easier way?
