Need a spot of help, save file sharing.

A friend and I are trying to do MyLeague with 2 teams but on two separate machines from two separate locations. We've done this in the past with NBA 2k12 no problem however today when we tried there is an issue. I made the league using my PC on my Steam account, played the first game vs the CPU with my team and closed the game out. I then found the save file under steam>userdata>random numbers>random numbers>remote and copied it to my desktop. I then attached the file to an email using yahoo and mailed it to my friend who is across town using his own PC on his own Steam account.

He has said he placed the file into his saves folder but its now showing up when he enters game. Is this not possible with 2k15? I thought I saw a post on these forums or another with a similar situation yet was unable to locate it. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Correct, it's not possible with NBA 2K15 as the save files are encrypted.
