Simple Roster Changes - Please Help!

Hello Everyone - I am VERY glad I found this forum. I have been frustrated and really hope someone can help. This is Regarding NBA 2K15 for PS4:

I love to go to "NBA Today" and play the games that really were played in real life. It shows a map of North America and lets you play any game that is played on that day. But I also want to play with ONLY the correct rosters/starting lineup that were accurate for that game.

*For Example: The Pistons playes @Denver yesterday. Both teams have different starting lineups than what the game defaults to, and some of the players on each side in real life were not active. How do I make those changes to get the rosters set exactly as they were for that game in real life? When I go to the "Rosters" tab, all it lets me do is view the rosters - NOT edit them.

I am a beginner - so keeping that in mind, can someone give me step by step instructions on how to adjust the rosters to make them accurate to the real life games? Step by Step instructions would be VERY appreciated.
