No Scouting in MyGM

I'm most of the way through my first season in MyGM and I have not been able to do any scouting. I was thinking that it might have been automatically done this year. But when I started a new MyGM I was able to select 7 different players to scout. I checked to make sure scouting automation is turned off in MyGM settings and it is. Anybody else experience this issue?

So what's the issue? From what I understand in your post, scouting can still be done manually.

Only on my new save. But not the one I have spent many hours on.
