Has anybody ever seen anything like this?

Postby helpmeguys on Thu Oct 09, 2014 3:05 am

This only happens on 2k, other games work fine, IGPU is Iris pro 5200...

I'm not expecting to play on super settings, but I can play battlefield 4 just fine, this is different ,and the graphical errors only go away in replay mode...

The one time in game it did load right wade looked like he was dipped in crisco oil...

Did you make sure your drivers were updated?

Roll back, see what happens, if not, scale down your settings in-game

Could be a driver issue. I've never heard of the Iris Pro until today. I've seen way too many threads like this coming from people with integrated graphics chips to ever consider getting a processor with one.

He doesn't have a video card. That chip is integrated with his cpu.

I'm surprised the chip can run the game at all, to be honest.

I couldn't agree more. A stand alone video card ( and a good one) is the only way to go. Too many problems out of integrated ones.

You should contact 2k support about this. I've never seen anything like this and I doubt many people here would be able to help you with that issue.

I would let them know that the issue disappears in replay mode. That could help them narrow it down.

Yeah i'll guess ill go to the 2k board for support, Gpu is not dedicated but it should be more than capable of displaying things correctly, I downgraded the drivers and ot everybody is just super shiny...

Thanks anyways guys!

No, the iris pro is quite new and supports dx 11.1. Your thinking what I am thinking though. All those odd paint brush looking artifacts look like issues with rendering the shaders.

Oh... that's what it's called shaders???

Here is the info on this card guys ...

technically I should be good right?

"In comparison to the HD 4000, the graphics core has been modified extensively. The Iris Pro supports DirectX 11.1, OpenCL 1.2 and OpenGL 4.0. It also features an improved decoder for 4K videos and the fast Quick Sync encoder.

Thanks to the fast eDRAM memory, the average performance of the Iris Pro is only about 15 percent behind the dedicated mid-range cards GeForce GT 650M and GT 750M (DDR3 versions). This makes the Iris Pro even faster than AMDs Radeon HD 8650G and the fastest integrated GPU of 2013. Therefore, many current games can be played fluently in medium or high detail settings and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. In some older or less demanding titels like Diablo III or Fifa 2013, even higher resolutions or quality settings may be possible.'
