Kobe may win it if he talks about the Championship.

Perhaps, but at least that's something that Kobe's demonstrated that he cares about.

He's also, to borrow Jeff Van Gundy's apt description, a disinterested defender.

Fair enough. It's not always easy to detect tone in a written conversation.

they should have done a white guy voice as a myplayer option instead of having 2 black guy voices

That's what I said too. Or they could have a voice that could sound like any race. Just off the top of my head I could think of many voices that would fit that bill. Rob Jones, senior producer for the NBA 2K series is a perfect example. He just sounds like a normal average guy. If you never seen what he looks like and only heard his voice. You couldn't really think that he is white, black, Asian, Hispanic or any other race, ethnicity or background. His voice would pretty much go good with any character you could think to create. A voice actor like that wouldn't be too hard to find.

Since there'll be two voices to select from this year, it wouldn't surprise me if they do look to include a few different ones to select from moving forward. I'm all for that; I doubt we'll ever get an Aussie accent so I'm stuck there, but at least four or five distinctly different ones to choose from would help personalise everyone's MyPLAYER.

They should just use the lip syncing technology to let you speak the lines through your microphone and have them play back during the cut scene or have it lip sync live. It would be great for let's plays and people who can do funny voices.

Arma 2 showed your multiplayer character moving their mouth as you used voice chat. It can be done.

So does gta 5 multiplayer. I would LOVE to tell kobe how big of an asshole i think he is and have him say some generic line like "Glad we're on the same page."

I'm pretty sure that would be a problem, with people adlibing lines and cussing out their virtual teammates. I was thinking more along the lines of reading a script.

Problem is, you run the risk of spoiling the story for yourself.

OK, that could work.

But at the end of the day, a few different career paths and appropriate branching options should suffice.
