What used to be the league's strongest, deepest position is now its weakest and thinnest? Yikes.

I was thinking the same thing, particularly after the Top 5 point guards list gave us four players rated 90+.

I think center will wind up being the weakest position.

I'm curious about Stephenson on this list. I will pick up Monta Ellis to replace him.

I remember when Lebron was entering his rookie season, Paul Pierce criticized him for playing the 3, saying he was 'ducking' having to square up with all the Shooting Guards in the league... Pierce, McGrady, Iverson, Allen, Carter, Kobe, Ginobili, Wade, even Rip Hamilton. Now the talent there is as barren as it gets. It used to be THE position to play in the NBA. Now everybody is either running the point or a swingman.

Monta was pretty darn close to making it.

Since they're so close, it's not a matter of who's better but preference.

Klay Thompson not up there is a head-scratcher

I understand.

But, all the guys that are up there were either the primary option or primary playmaker.

We know he's definitely a great, great shooter and a real good defender. Just came up a little bit shorter in the areas that were favored for the shooting guard overall.
