I actually used part of your team file for my Temple crowd since the colors are similar.

Another example of a uniform that got a major overhaul that I think any eye can notice a difference is Gonzaga. I re-built their uniform from scratch, and am actually re-doing their numbers for a future update. The texture, though, is brand new, and MUCH better than what was there previously. Check it out.

They were next on my schedule and I noticed right away how good they looked when playing the game today.

EDIT: And what color maroon would you like me to use?

Red shoes and White socks with all uniforms. White head bands and t-shirts with home and red head band and t-shirts with away. White head band and black t-shirts with Alt uni. The maroon color you have in there now is fine. I have adjusted everything else to match it. So its good.

Just a question since I'm a total noob on mods, will this overwrite all the default files?

Hey,

I was after just the husks to be honest (I'll alter rosters, playing style etc...myself) , but I was just looking for a quick explanation as to how easy it is to replace a team with another team. Like the Temple Owls above. I'd like to have them replace the Duke 1991 team. If anyone can give me a run through of what's required that would be great. New to mods!

It's not that hard to add another team, other than the very very small details with ratings and such like bigh0rt said. They wouldn't have to replace anyone.

If you have the RED MC Roster Editing program, and a good understanding of how to use it, a straight swap isn't too difficult. You do run into the issue of only being able to swap out one of the first 30 alphabetical teams with another team who fits there alphabetically, and then ensuring that you appropriately replace all the proper graphic files based on the GIDs, into all the logo_xxx.iff files, so on and so forth. It's more tedious than anything.

Citizen, it is possible to add teams on your own. The easiest way is to have paid access to redmc. If you dont have that then the next option is hex editing. This how I added Arkansas before they were added permanently. Either way you go It's a lot of work because you have to make unis, stadium, crowd, logos, floor for the full effect. It is possible but a load of work and trial and error. Also everytime the roster is updated you have to add your team back in. It is easier with redmc access though.

Trust me, I know how it feel to want to play with YOUR team. So I buckled down and found a way with Hex editing. Watched many different tutorials, scoured forums and such. But in the end, when I finally got it ro work, it was GLORIOUS!! Good Luck

That's the beauty od REDMC this time around because you can use the "Move" option to place a team where you want in the list of teams alphabetically (if you have full function of the program).

Regardless, you can still only replace one of the first 30 with one of the first 30, and cannot add a team to the first 30. This causes the crashing problems in Association Mode. After the first 30 alphabetically, you can add or replace to your heart's desire. However, the way the GIDs are situated, the first 30 are locked in, unless you want to swap them, which is a tremendous pain in the ass. This was the crux of all of the crashing issues we had initially both last and this year.

That's good news. The only issue I have with the floors is that since the 3-point line is shortened, you may have a "3" that doesn't register because of the code that's already built in. I had a close game, swung the ball around the perimeter for an open "3", only to have a it count as a "2". I was like, "Nooooooo!!!", lol. I actually pulled out the win with a lucky turnover and some freethrows. Not a deal-breaker though, and the courts look great. You just have to be conscience of that.

Yeah, I make sure I make a conscious effort to be well behind the line, and occasionally get caught with the '2'. I just tell myself the guy's toe was on the line. It was largely debated last year, and the court makers went with authenticity instead of having the actual 3-point line at NBA distance. Since they were the laborers, I wasn't going to argue the point. :D
