I'm with you guys. I feel like less of a grumpy old man to hear others say it.

Modern NBA from my perspective:

-basically a massive drop in average fundamentals when it comes to post up moves, mid-range game, fadeaway jumper;
-games setted to arcade mode with rigged sliders, costantly uptempo, transition flow and spacing the floor to hit 3s;
-when a wide open shot isn't available, always set a P&R to alley-op your center otherwise unable to handle a ball;
-so, basically, no intermediate game (easy twos or wide open 3s, I know a matter of efficiency, but...);
-Carnival-cosplay-halloween festival when it comes to jersey: no respect to tradition and no easy recognition, each franchise has a stock of 10000 jerseys named with unlikely manes and without any sense (I'm waiting for a Mazinger Z Goku edition, why not pinky with yellow fluo stripes);
-50% of teams tanking, 40% putting basketball playing on a secondary plane and programming free agency years, years and again years before;
-players searching the super-team-super-city-combo with some dear friends who decided to come out from respective contract the same year

Who feels the same? Is it me being too nostalgic or is a feeling quite diffused? Maybe I can guess the answer being a thread about not only the present, but mostly the history of the game...

I don't enjoy watching the NBA nearly as much now, and it's a shame. It's not you being "nostalgic" or an "old head" or a "boomer" (Give me a break), it's you calling it like you see it.

I have many, many reasons that I can give for why I dont enjoy todays NBA as much as the 90s or 00-10.

I wouldn't have imagined so many agreed...the fact is in nowadays game, as Pau said, we have lost the overall feeling of a perennial calculation when a team attacks. There was a time basketball meant "apply your best IQ, value any kind of aspect, explore everything to search the best for your team", now is more "make something in fastest way as possible, not relevant what and how, make something and something will be generated, then react to what has been generated"
No surprise in this era guys like Teodosic can't succeed, while guys like Giannis (don't misunderstand me, he's a prodigy nature, has wingspan, athleticism, amazing coordination for such size, passing abilities and can finish at the rim at will, BUT I think we can safely say the pure technique dimension in his game is secondary) can be named MVP.
To me current NBA deserves nothing of my time. I know, it sounds brutal, but I can't do anything different. I've followed NBA since 1996 to 2013 around. Kobe's Achilles has been my wall. I'm a great Lakers fan and since that day nothing has been the same. I've seen last glimpes of Orlando "Dinasty that never was", the great Penny and Shaq. I've seen the last dance of MJ, Pip and the Worm. I've seen the rising to glory of AI, Kobe, TD, KG, Tracy, Vince, Dirk, Manu, LBJ, Melo and Wade. I've watched many italian league games from 1996 to 2006 (I'm a Fortitudo Bologna supporter, but I lost interest with failure of the team and italian league becoming every year more poor), I've watched Eurolegue, FIBA competitions, for quite twenty years. You know, we grew up, time available is not the same compared to child and young days. Everything makes its natural course, changes. So, the feeling of "oh my, all my favourite stars, all my traditional reference points, they will go down very soon..." increases day by day...but you can think something "ehi, the beauty of the game remains! Look at the new stars, new dualisms, they remind me of...and I'm still excited" No, you can't say that, cause is A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME. Today not only we have perennial uptempo, clown jerseys, no-ending 3s bombing, no fundamentals in too many areas and matches where teams score 160 points we have also real insults to the game, like the "Zero step"...c'mon...I have enough, I can only read boxscores in these days and that's it.

I cant agree with this. Why i posted this quotes from Gasol. Because he is not O'Neal, Howard or Bynum...Gasol have great mid and hello! He can shot 3s! . He is talking about current bball overall.
Younger users, please watch any 80s or 90s game, watch what Jordan had to do to score a basket, every single night. Hands all over him, pushed. If you want to understand and describe current NBA watch Harden games and compare with Jordan games.

Hey guys,
having a weird issue with the 2020 URB. When I load the settings or the season file the sound shuts off. Jukebox and all in game sounds. When I load my settings i copied and pasted from another working urb install the sounds come back. Anything help is appreciated. Thanks and great mod so far.

Check Presentation settings, might be that sounds are muted in it.

just ask me private Im not using music in game and music/sound settings are included in Sliders file, so if you are using URB sliders, music is muted. Just go to presentation and change settings for music etc.

I was also trying to use a NBA 2k17 scoreboard from another site and the logos were not working with it. Has anyone had any luck with that scoreboard or may have a more modern fox sports looking scoreboard with no logos but just team colors?

You did follow instructions, no worries. Its because of new update released for Patrons. You downloaded all stuff after Patrons release. I will release this update soon here and your gsw will be ok then.

I have a question whenever I start a brand new season the minutes and rotation for teams always readjust. Is there anyway to prevent that from happening?
