I understand how u rate the latest version 3pt and ft attributes. May I ask what is the logic for the close shot and medium shot?

Inside Shot = ((0-3 Ft%-45)+(0-3 Ft%*0.6)+37.5)
Close Shot = (3-9 Ft%*2)

That's impressive work! I will use it.

I am currently working on 1995/96 season.
I added all teams assistant coaches (I miss only one cf - Dick Helm from the Hawks).
I added some coaches (like Larry Bird, Rick Pitino, Greg Popovich, etc..) and assistant coaches to the free agents coaches list (association mode).
I added some new shoes and assigned shoes to all players based on what they used to wear.
Now, I am updating weight's (many of them are from their rookie year and not based on the particular season), body type, play style, personality, play types, signature skills, free throw animations. (60-65% done)
I will also update players skills and tendencies based on your great work but will mesh it up with deep online research, scouting reports and watched games from that era.
When I'm done would u like me to send it over to u?

rajaz, I have np with releasing your roster, ofc after test. I wont release 2k14 roster with sig skills and I have no idea what you want to change in tendencies while all rosters works with formula. Not sure why you want to use Slimm formula in 95/96 when it was already implemented. :wink:

For me there are minor changes, for example, A Mcdyess in his rookie year used more spin jumper and less stepback and fadeaway so I would give it more reflection in the tendencies. Small things like that, nothing dramatic in this section.

Now its clear, you are not talking about shooting area tendencies (close, mid, 3pt). If you want to edit other tendencies i see no problem.
Sig skills in 2k14 ruin gameplay.

i disagree... speaking of myself, i don't need a "third party" roster when we already have perfect 95/96 roster mod inside URB by you sko and slimm.

I didn't mean to release another roster. Not at all. I just thought maybe Sko will like to implement few stuff from my roster into his roster like the assistant coaches. But if no need, that's ok. No worry's :cool:

Guys, has anyone encountered a bug where a part of the court becomes blurry if the camera is not focused there?

For example, when the player brings up the ball, everything from the 3 point line down to the baseline will become blurry and when he arrives there, it will be fine except with some areas and the baseline.

I was wondering if it's just me or someone else too has it. :cheeky:

You have disabled "profundidad del campo" in video settings? (I dont know how its called in the english menu, I remember its the last option, or the one before that one. One of the last two.)

I just wanted to mention something to everyone in case they are interested. I've been using a program called Parsec to play online with URB with a friend. It works really well. Would be a way for some members of the community here to play online with/against each other with all of these great mods like URB.

I enabled Depth of Field and it partially solved the problem. The 3pt line became less blurry. The baseline is still blurry, and has jagged lines. Even the logos and text on the court :(

I tinkered with the nvidia control panel before and set all options to best quality except for antialiasing because my pc can't handle it :cry: I'm wondering if it's because of that or on the game itself.

Set your texture settings to High. If that didn't fix the problem, maybe it's on the courts itself

I have all of my video settings turned to High :D
It was not like this even when I adjusted video settings in nvidia control panel AND used the modified config file which gave me a boost in performance.

Then suddenly just one day, I noticed the letters on the baseline had rugged edges, and then the 3pt line was blurry. I switched teams and it still have the blurriness so it was not because of the courts. I stopped using the config file and nothing happened but lessen my fps (I have potato pc :cry: )

So far, I still do not know what is causing the problem. Either the nvidia control panel settings, in game settings, or I must just have to reinstall the whole game :lol:

backup and delete the crowd.iff file mate, it'll boost the fps. [disable the crowds actually]
Or maybe download "Intel Display Adapter Management Tool" and toggle with the Software/Hardware options.
Somehow it boosted my video quality. May not work with everyone.

My PC is pretty poor, so currently I'm not making use of the New Courts, I just renamed the default 2K14 courts w.r.t the names of the mod,
You probably won't see blurred lines if you use the low resolution textures in the default courts,
For eg, default Brooklyn court is 576 KB, Brooklyn court on the mod is 35 MB. See that makes a difference.

Just suggestions... :cheeky:

1. Your machine acts as the server and other people can connect to you.
2. You rent a server from Amazon and you and the other people connect to it. This is what I did, the Amazon server has a 1 Gbps connection up and down.

The server sees the gamepad/keyboard/mouse of you and anyone else that is connected to it and treats you all as local users. A friend and I tried and it works really well. The same as if he were at my house using a second controller and we were playing URB locally.

How much is the server through Amazon?

It depends on how much storage you pick. I picked 100 GB so the storage is $7.00 per month and then you pay $0.77 per hour to use it. If you played for hours every day it would get expensive but not bad for occasional online play. Its not really a recurring charge...you buy credits that get applied to your account. I bought $20.00 worth to test it out.

Hey guys, I have some great news for you :cheeky:

The blurriness was caused by the pre rendering of frames set on Nvidia Control Panel which minimizes input delay. When I turned it off, the courts were now back to its astonishing quality :cool:

Hi @Skoa.. any chance u make the current roster with the coloured shoes and accecories ? Like a second version ? Wouldnt that be rather easy to just copy the teaminfo to the new roster ? In that case one can choose when playing with current teams.... just asking. Thanks for all the work

Hi SLIIM,
There is no Blake Griffin on the draft classes, not in 2008,2009,2010,2011 and 2012.

So we are gonna miss out on Griffin entirely if we start an association before 2011.
I would like to start an association from an earlier period and play each season from then on wards, drafting players I like etc...
You know it's fun to start with a team that's suppose to finish in the last places, trade draft places from bottom teams at the end of January and rebuild the team with good rookies at the start of each season.. "The Process".

Another problem is the one I mentioned earlier in the forum, it's the contract issue, some players have multiyear contracts, but their salaries are set to 0 for the second and 3rd years. So their salaries become 0 from the second year on wards... Is it possible to solve it?

Last week I started an association on 2010 roster, fixed the salaries on the in game editor, played some matches and simmed the rest of the year, only to know that I'm gonna miss out on Griffin if I continue on this,[I thought Griffin will be on the 2010 draft as he wasn't already in the roster], It's disheartening you know..

Another doubt,is there any problem with using UBR draft classes for URB Mode?
I loaded UBR 2009 draft class and all the faces I looked matched with the players. I'm not 100 % sure as I don't know how the guys who are not so famous look like

I found audio bugs on many season rosters where players are called their number instead of their names. Another doubt,is there any problem with using UBR draft classes for URB Mode?
I loaded UBR 2009 draft class and all the faces I looked matched with the players. I'm not 100 % sure as I don't know how the guys who are not so famous look like

Some day draft classes will be updated, not big update, just reviewed and fixed major problems + maybe ratings/tendencies.
Your issue with contracts is easy to fix but its a lot of work, not sure when i will be able to fix it. Just to be clear for all other users - all salaries are accurate with reality, for all rosters and all players. Game ruin it in asso mode. Another example why im not using asso mode at all.
I have no idea about UBR stuff. Im also not a big fan of mixing mods.

@sko and slimm I know both of you told before that no rookie would be included in the All-Time roster unless they have a spectacular or historical season. Thing is, I was thinking that if Joel Embiid who was a rookie last season made the cut, maybe Ben Simmons should be taken in consideration after putting up great numbers and leading the Sixers after Embiid went down. I know we can all add him ourselves if we want to, but I just thought he might deserve to be included even if just as a free agent. Not a Sixers fan or a Simmons fan, just can't ignore what the guy was doing lately. I'm still skeptic on asking you guys to include him, but if the Sixers do end up making a deep playoff run with Simmons being a key contributor, he might deserve some consideration. And please don't take this post the wrong way, I'm not telling you guys how to do your job or what to do with your roster. I'm just voicing out my opinion :cheeky:

There is no way to "assign" or "remove" those animations from the game. Celebration animations are triggered by shot animations or dunk/layup packages. Maybe in a prior 2K game LJ had that animation. Not in 2k14

Do you have video of it? What about him would make him do that three? If you are familiar with Reditor, players only have a number of things unique to them in terms of animation. Animations don't trigger by "Name". So something, if it does exist, triggers that animation. If we don't know triggers it, we cant ask URB to turn it on, or off.

If original players are used (using the original LJ of the default roster position, instead of overwriting Gerlad Green's spot with LJ 's looks and stats, for example ) then animations and original audio stories are not lost. That is what the poster is reffering to.

URB overwrites the default order of things, and this makes for the loss of original audio and custom animations.

Sko and I have had the conversation about 2K13 vs 2K14. Overall, we agree that 2K13 is a better game. The animations are more realistic, and just overall it's more authentic.

2K13, 2K12, and 2K11 blow away 2K18 in feel and authenticity. Some may be fooled by realistic cyberfaces, and call the game more realistic, but anybody who knows the game of basketball (specifically the NBA) knows that those three games I just mentioned are far more NBA authentic than 2K18, the atmosphere is also far better.

i would even go as far as to say that they cyberfaces when it comes to skincolours are not that good in 2k18... the oversaturation of players might be based on certain broadcasts filters but i like the more natural skincolours..

I reloaded 2k11 about a week ago and I believe that it and 2k13 are my favorite basketball games of all time. We have made 2k14 a lot of fun, but 2k11 and 13 are better, IMO. The animations and AI in 2k11 were RIDICULOUS, especially for it's time.

Either 2k11 or 2k13. 2k13 is my all-time favorite with the patching exe that is on NLSC, can't remember what it's called. The gameplay and animations were on point and all the plays (pretty much) worked. In 2k14, Horns plays and other plays where a pass is made to a big at the high post simply wouldn't make the pass. INFURIATING. 2k13 also had the play types where 2k11 only had 4 assignable plays per player.

To me, 2k13 with URB and that patching exe program is the most realistic basketball game ever.
