Preseason games

Hi guys, what are preseason games in Association mode? If I understand you can arrange matches against other NBA teams in the offseason, but I can't seem to figure out how.

Preseason games are a series of exhibition games that NBA teams play to warm up before the season begins. The standings and stats accumulated during the preseason don't ultimately count towards any career totals or overall results.

In NBA 2K14's Association mode, the preseason schedule is automatically generated for you. There's nothing to arrange or customise, you can just play preseason games from the second year onwards if you enable that option.
