so I dont know how to fix the issues I've having with NBA Today. It crashes the game, so if you load the roster and are connected to the Internet, go DIRECTLY to Season mode, or playoff mode, or Association mode (which has issues with players retiring after the first year FYI).


This is the BETA that I distributed privately, but yea, I am looking for suggestions and HELP with art and other ideas for this mod. Enjoy! Super fun doing a fantasy draft season.

Jao, love the Roster and idea so far (will let you know if I run into any issues).

Have you kept your original spreadsheets around for a potential re-draft or league re-assign in the future? I think conceptually a future iteration of the project should have the older players that are still in the league re-rated to be in their primes (i.e. Tracy McGrady, Ray Allen, Grant Hill etc.). Just a suggestion, which I know is a far into the future priority.

All players in their various formats were thrown into the same spreadsheet. They were sorted by name and were supposed to have been sorted secondarily by the sum of their ratings and then weeded out to one version. I have my doubts that this actually happened.

If you "fix" this, remember that this is an Open Source project, so feel free to re-release the roster or whatever, or send it to me, and we can do another version.

There's two JaJuan Johnsons in division 3. :lol:

EDIT: All over the rosters there's clones. I believe there's two Jamario Moons in division 2.
EDIT2: A few players also make it to a few divisions, like Jamario Moon is in division 2 and 3. I was currently able to find these clone players in division 3:

I was thinking instead of removing the clones we could just replace them with CAP Euroleague players around the overall that the player is. I guess you'll probably disagree with that, but worth a shot. Ofc I would make the CAPs for the Euroleague players.

Also most players with generic faces, like Tyus Edney for example, have generic signatures and like the face is so default. I could pull off CAP faces and the signatures for them if you'd like that.

Ah that's good. Also I just tryed playing the all-star game in season mode and the game crashed and I noticed there's a lot of players that are 7 feet tall and weight 300 lbs which is not accurate to the real thing at all.

yes, they were some of the hidden players I should not have included in the draft.

I've gotten so much use out of these rosters by the way. Major props. I might start an ABP story using all three leagues and Leftos' NST. I re-rated everyone in the game so that they are in their primes, and did a fantasy draft for each league. I'm playing as one team in each league in a 29 game season, and will migrate the top 3/bottom 3 using REditor for season 2. This is SO much fun. Hopefully we can get some CFs worked in their for the generic faces and some cool uniforms, and this will be by far the most enjoyable roster I've played (already up there).

anyone? Basically the auckland logo is at center court everytime I play auckland as away team...

I had deleted the file logo A00 but then it also got the shirt logo dissapeared, so I'm guessing I need to do some db editing. Where should I look though?

uniforms tab, check the Auckland away uniform and make sure it has isaway = 1

its all beta and with Created team art, bound to be issues like this.

Thanx Jao I know it is a beta so no worries. Checked what you suggested, 4 A00 team jerseys, and two of them are marked isaway=1 so I guess this is not the problem...
ID 90 60 30 0

90 and 30 are =1

Anything else I could try?
