Classic Players to Free Agency Version 2 Released

Postby RedPhazon8 on Fri Oct 05, 2012 5:37 am

Second Roster Release

I used the Roster Editor Leftos (along with the others that helped him) to create this roster.

This is the second version of the roster I created right after the game was released, this version adds better versions of four players and adds two players that were not in any of the Classic Teams. The same thing applies as the last one there's only one CAP Slot left, and I had to use very low rated players to compensate since there were still roster restrictions in place. This roster is recommended for Fantasy themed modes since that's the reason I made this roster in the first place. I was going to add the Celeb Team and the Hidden 2K Sports team but I only want NBA Players in my Fantasy Association.

Changes/Additions are:
John Stockton
Charles Barkley
David Robinson
Patrick Ewing
Karl Malone
Christian Laettner

Yep, this saved me a TON of time! lol, thank you for this and definitely get it up in the database (just so JaoSming from 2 years in the future can still use this)

Alright, when I get a chance I'll put it in there.

Edit: Added it to the database and added some screens.

How were you able to release them in the FA pool? Is it possible even without a tool and do it in game?
Your Tip Here :D

They returned to the system they used in NBA 2K11, where you could move them within the Roster Management screen. The only issue was trying to compensate for the "there must be 12 ppl in the roster at all times" which ended up being the worst part.

Yeah I started at 1am last night because I had class at 6pm to 8:45pm. I went out to eat a late dinner then came back and got started, finished at 5am but I had nothing planned today so it wasn't to big of a deal.

I did this as well for 2K11 and ended up with Doc Rivers (when he played for the Hawks) on the Celtics, I always wondered where he got his skills/tactics from.

Re: Second Roster Project Started (Using Leftos' Editor)

Postby RedPhazon8 on Sat Oct 27, 2012 8:57 am

Bumped to let people know what I'm working on. I'm also debating whether or not I should reset the roster and redo everything all over again. The editor allows me to just copy players to where ever I want without even touching a team which means the classic teams can stay the way they are. I'll watch the Bulls game before I do anything so if anyone is interested and has an opinion let me know.

How come you didn't make this for NBA 2K12?

I didn't make one for NBA 2K12 because they removed the process of moving players within roster management, I would of had to make seasons with classic teams in them then export each one out then remove players in the exported teams. The primary issue was it would of took a whole lot longer for NBA 2K12.
