blink821, try each of the edits separately. Save after each edit, try in-game. See which one causes the issue and tell me.

Ok, Editing Attributes works fine. Editing the team color causes the game freeze.

How does one copy missing players like Kareem or Dr. J to another roster while keeping the names? I was able to transfer them but the names come up something like ********* and I can't change them in game even when setting the PIType to 6, which I think I read supposedly made the names editable.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I assume this may have already been asked, but cannot find the answer. Can I use this tool to combine a draft class file with the rookies that have been loaded into an association file?

Leftos,

I have a question regarding the playbooks tab. When copying playbooks from different rosters it seems that they do not copy correctly. What I mean by that is that say for example I have a new roster using the latest 2K roster update and I want to copy over the default playbooks with vannwolfhawks playbooks from another roster. The editor only seems to read the "default" 1st playbook as the 1st in the file instead of reading the 1st playbook imputed into the roster save with Vann's playbooks, therefore changing the order of the playbooks. Is there any way to set the editor to read the playbooks from the roster with Vann's edits in the exact order so when I copy over into the latest 2K roster they will be in the same order as the roster with Vann's edits?

These would be for the Xbox 360. Let me know what you would need in order to help make this change. I'd be glad to help

Leftos the Jersey tab, when editing team colors away and home. If you edit that with the NBA 2K13 Roster Editor v0.23.0.2, you can play the game but after the game and selecting quit option it will cause the game freeze on mycareer. If you use lower version of the Roster Editor, it works perfectly.

v0.23.0.3 released!
- Temporarily disabled buggy Jersey name saving feature

FYI, no changes were made in v0.23.0.2 that could've caused an issue that didn't exist in v0.23.0.1. Only thing that changed in .2 is that when you pasted lines that started with a #, they were no longer being ignored. I've tracked down a piece of code that is writing different data even when you've made no changes to the Jerseys tab whatsoever, and reported it to TUSS11 so that he can take a look. For now, .3 that was just released disables the offending piece of code. Please note that any rosters that were corrupted by v0.23.0.0 to .2 won't be magically fixed by .3. The new version just makes sure that clean rosters won't get corrupted when saving the Jerseys tab.

varsamass, you have to post your messages in English, it's against the rules to use any other language here. Posting your messages in English also means that others can help you even when I'm not around. If you're struggling with English, even Google Translate is more than nothing.

1. In any case, you're asking if you can have more than 512 FA spots. Most probably you can (512 was a safe limit I used after 256 proved too few), but I'm not really willing to put the effort into developing any features right now, because I'm already working on tools that are supposed to be released with REDitor (Roster Workshop, NBA Stats Tracker's compatibility, etc.). REDitor's release is very close now, and my priorities are elsewhere. The source code is out there, so if someone else does it, I'll be glad to merge their changes into the main codebase. Or maybe I'll do it some other day. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I've spent so much time on this with little in return, so it's a big relief to know all the stuff I've done are already completed tenfold in REDitor. I'm not feeling that motivated to build features that are going to be redundant in a few weeks. AFAIK, REDitor has no arbitrary limit on the number of FAs you can have.

2. No, you can't re-release stuff without prior permission. Some modders have strict rules about that, so get permission first, and then release.

3. No idea why the commentary would mess up someone's name. Again, most of those issues will be fixable with REDitor.

Leftos, Sorry to ask a simple question, but I think it is so simple that I can't find an answer for it. Does this tool allow you to edit association files? Or is it just roster files?

try deleting your 'settings.STG' then create a new my career, if it doesnt work try deleting your 'My Profile.USR' & 'settings.STG' then create a new my career. :wall:
and turn off the Autosave using cheat engine :cheeky:

It does
PC: Roster, Association, MyCAREER
360: Roster, Association
Opinions are my own.

JaoSming, Thanks mate. So I assume that would allow me to update rookie ratings from a draft class to an existing association?

varsamass, no tutorial (outside of C# tutorials) is going to help you. Someone with programming knowledge can tinker with the source code, but other than that, you can only wait for REDitor or hope that I change my mind before that and do the edit myself. I've decided I'm going to take a break from programming if I can persuade myself to. My GitHub account says I've been programming for 13 days non-stop, so... your hope most probably lies elsewhere.

Again, if nobody helps, REDitor should be here soon.

Hey Leftos, just found something out.. jersey ID #340 (Unknown1H) is the Free Agent jersey. I had the Bucks Home set as Unknown1H to get them to disappear so i could use different jerseys for there default home and away, and every time i would edit a player that didnt have a team, they would be wearing the bucks home jersey because it was the first jersey selected for Unknown1H! Just thought I'd let you know if you didnt know already!
