NBA2K13 Skill number issue

I have my team in NBA2K13"XBOX360" (My Career) with all players having a skill of 95 or higher for passing, and my guy has 98 for hands. The issue is when my guys rebound a miss by the opponent I streak down to other end of the court and call for the ball, and my teammate launches the ball over my head. Also sometimes I catch the ball and it carries me out of bounce, or I can not hold on to and catch it. I would say 20% are good and 80 % have the issues listed, for the long passes. Also sometime I do not even call for it and they pass it to me, and same issues happen.

I would like to know how to make my team pass better for deep passes for breakaways, or is this just the way it is in the game?
