Presentation and commentary are once again "must turn off".

Here is what the halftime reporter just said. Paraphrasing... "A terrific first half for Kukoc. Let's see if he can continue in the second half. He couldn't hit water if he was shooting into the ocean, shooting just under 20% in the first half."

Just played a quick game (thunder vs lakers). Gameplay seems very fluid. Love it so far. I noticed a glitch with replays (settings - replays/cuts on "often") - in some instances replay has short footage of some other play and footage is broken up.. What stood out the most was the that players played their game! Seemed very natural!

Yea graphics do look pretty terrible, player models look more glossy on the edit player screen, kind of irritating (PC).

Gameplay is improved, graphics and features, eh not so much.

I captured afew screens showing the Total Sim Control feature that's new to The Association, just 9 simple options that factor into simmed games.

The UI and music is already giving me a headache 30 minutes into it. Do the realize white people still like basketball?

Few more impressions: (1)as far as I see it sweat is there (unlike oily effect of 2k12) :), (2) even a pg runs a fast break if he's in a position to do so initially after defensive rebound is made by a teamate (love it!!!), (3) already saw many new/dope alley oop dunk animations..

Has anyone been able to play an online game or hear any news on the low setting graphic issue ??

Overall the game runs much smoother for me in comparison to nba 2k12 where I did notice android like random freezes! This one is smooth as hell! Even menus browsing seems smoother!

My system specs:
MOBO: ASUS MAXIMUS GENE V (bios v.0903)
CPU: i5-3570K @4,6ghz (1,18 vcore) (cooled by Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme)
RAM: Samsung (10M378B5273DH0-CK0/CH9) 4gb x 4 @2400mhz (10-11-11-28)
SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB
VGA: ASUS GTX 680 DirectCU II OC
PSU: Corsair AX850

No way to play friends though right?

No 3on3 MyPlayer.....HUGE miss for me....
nevermind that there are players that need to be unlocked in Blacktop with VC we can't earn! They just dont show up!

Gameplay, I love it, animations, pacing, all of it seems good. I did have a block ghost through the ball though, booty to that.
Opinions are my own.

Since I have a physical copy and not a download...I don't know about the play with friends thing....but here is a video showing highlights and more of the online experience....it's smooth..

My Quick game win...

Player models - They basically changed like 10 player models and the rest are the exact same ones from 2k12.

Everyone complaining about the missing features in this game, it cost half the price of the console version, so adjust your expectations accordingly. Also the gameplay is so much better this year. I'm loving it. Dunking is much more smoother also.

Can't really compare to 360 version because I pre ordered it on newegg and haven't gotten it yet.

Not being able to edit home/away shoe colors is perrty lame though.

First impressions (PS3...waiting for DD for PC):

1) Menu's are the exact same but different colors. In other words, still crap.
2) Music is much better.
3) In Association, my Warriors still have the same staff as 2k12, including the trainer, Tom Abenour, who got fired before LAST season. This bothers me not because I'm a Warriors fan, but because 2K is literally less than an hour away from Oakland...they can't even get the home team staff right. It's the little things that make games go from good to great.
4) Game play is much more fluid (on default settings). I like it.

The game play is probably enough to make the game "great" but seriously, 2K is simply lazy in many aspects of this game. They hyped the presentation so much, and kudos to them for recruiting big names, but from a coding standpoint, I don't really think they did much.

I loaded the game in and the first thing I had to do was create MyPlayer, even before the intro. I'm not that interested in that.

'2) Music is much better."

The music is horrible. I don't understand why there are images of JayZ in concert or music video snippets on the menus or between game quarters. Hip hop and rappers are integrated in the game as if each NBA game is a sideshow for a hip hop concert.

I'm not a big fan of a lot of rap and hip-hop either, but you just knew once Jay-Z was announced as a major producer of the game, he was going to put his fingerprints on it. So, it is what it is. I'm sure there will be a way to import music files for those that want to change them.

I honestly cannot wait for someone to change the UI. It's so ridiculous it's not even funny. I don't know who thinks of these things, like stars that rotate around boxes during the game. WHY?@@@@@@@!

I made a SG thats getting way too many minutes at C and PF. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 years in and you can't fix one of the main complaints of the mode. Also the drafting bug where your team drafts you and another player with their pick is still there. GUD JAWB.

The new MyPlayer vs. MyCareer thing is confusing to me. I like how it was condensed last year.

MyCareer menus for attribute and w/e customization are hideous and awkward to use. Can't equip a non-sponsored shoe? Really? DUMB. All those accessories in a grid-like view that I saw from Xbox, not in the PC version, awesome.

No home/away shoe color difference, SWEET THNKS. (and I'm not one who really gives a shit about that stuff usually)

God who the hell manages this team, so many back and forth decisions and poor design all around, it's unbelievable. Are console players this dissapointed with the game?

All that said gameplay is slightly better. I didn't even have that high of expectations for the game, and still I'm disappointed. Maybe just because they couldn't release an incremental upgrade without introducing more fundamental gamemode bugs into the game.

I can live without MyTeam, and other random additions because again, PC is the minority, but bottom line I expect a game that doesn't make me want to throw my cat through my television after just scrolling through the menu.

Rebounding is back! I know I haven't played much (3 games) but in 5 min qtrs. I was able to get a high number of offensive rebounds (9 of 28 total rebounds)
Dunkfest of a game. I don't know if its bad defense or not, but posters seem to happen too often with LeBron, Westbrook
But that's just an early summary

I want to say I'm happy that the Online is finally fixed, but this makes me even sadder that i won't be able to try out MyTEAM. Seemed like a really nice concept.

Oh well! At least now I know I can arrange an OA, even do a fantasy draft, and have some fun with friends.

Gameplay is smooth, a little slow but thats alright....

Just played an online game. Lots of fun, only cheese self ooped him once (quite a bit of cheese) and the high graphics were real nice.

I couldnt hit a shot for shit though, actually, i dont think I hit any that wasnt a layup or post move.

What a disaster.

DD delay, gimped PC version, and the worst crime in the history of the world: restricting you to one MyPlayer.

You're dead to me 2K. Pre-order of 2K14 and 2K15 cancelled.

I like this game. It's fun.

I really like the new controls and the gameplay feels a lot better as a whole. Played a couple games and the scores seem to run pretty high. May need to adjust the difficulty and/or shooting sliders. Association got a couple modest updates and total sim control is nice.

You cannot create more MyPlayers? Only one save slot allowed? What type of fuckery is this? Why limit options previously had in a game?
