in years past, the free version can only edit the players tab, which controls CF IDs, ratings, animations, tendencies, accessories and bios.
Opinions are my own.

I don't know if it's been asked before Vlad, so sorry if it was. Can we determine if a player wears low, mid or high top shoes? It's not related to the shoe file, so I thought it could depend on the roster

hey vlad, for the jerseys or teams tab, have you found a value that controls the nba logo position on the jerseys? since they moved the logo to the global.iff, the logo position varies in the game depending on the team...

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

i think you can move them in the uniform iff file itself through hex editing, I havent tried it but there are values for the following....

NameAndNumberGroup/NBAShortsScaleU
NameAndNumberGroup/NBAShortsScaleV
NameAndNumberGroup/NBAShortsOffsetU
NameAndNumberGroup/NBAShortsOffsetV
NameAndNumberGroup/NBAAlphaWidth
NameAndNumberGroup/NBANormalWidth
NameAndNumberGroup/NBANormalCtr
NameAndNumberGroup/NBANormalZ

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I'm currently deadly busy, trying to finish my last school task, so will answer everyone a couple of days later.

And the release will take place some time early in January. Sorry for the delay, but the semester has been being really tough for my group...

Best wishes to all of you, my friends,
Vlad

This is looking great Vl@d... :applaud: I really hope that you can implement everything that REEditor could do in NBA 2k11, plus a few more things like, for example, ability to change team colors (to show in the scoreboard, for example), and maybe the possibility to add slots for jerseys.

I intend to make a patch (with some help from fellow users) that replaces Oklahoma City Thunder with the Seattle Supersonics, just as MILKMANANT brilliantly did it in 2k11 with court, training jerseys, retro jerseys, and so on...

I'm a sound engineer myself, and I'm pretty sure that, if the game audio can be exported into .wav files, and then re-imported into the game, I can edit .wav files and replace references whenever possible.

All the best man, best of luck with the program!

Aha Vlad Im going through college life as well my man and by god those professors are merciless with their exam schedule (IT NEVER ENDS! NEVER! NEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVEEEEEER!) Just keep up the good work and push this tool through.

Yeah, right you are. :) Nevertheless, y-day i somehow managed to put a temporary end to my school tasks until January, 4th. So, i will be focused on REDitor during the most part of this short period in hope to release it by that date. :)

I have the question about editing schedule in my player.By accident I pressed play next key game and and simulated for me 3 matches.whether it is possible to move it back with the editor?

Nope, unfortunately, it won't be possible in the initial release, as the tool will only allow to edit roster part of files. But i will probably take a look on MP and Association specific staff some time in spring.

with this can you change the draft class in association mode?

Not sure. If it is stored among regular players, then yes. If it's Association specific and stored outside of the roster part of file, then probably in spring.

1. Last year the ratings had a max (I think 110) and the Tendencies were at 225. Was that your doing or is that just what the max is. The reason I ask is because I want to make sure that we are able to have a higher simmed Blocks Per Game average for the players and @ 110, I didn't see anyone over 2.5 blocks per game. Is this something you can look into?

Maybe yes or maybe no. 110 for skills and 255 for tendencies are the maximum values, which can be stored in the file. Actually, i haven't ever tested, if the game really recognizes too high values, read from file; or it just uses its predefined maximum values instead.

hey vlad what features are diffrent in the free version opposed to the full version?

You can take a look on the following page:
http://reditor.narod.ru/Comparison.htm
For 2K12 the situation will be approximately the same.

Can we determine if a player wears low, mid or high top shoes?

Hmm... i haven't noticed the feature. If you have an exact example of 2 players on the default roster, wearing the same shoe model, which looks differently on each player, then, please, tell me the players' names - i'll take a look.

ability to change team colors (to show in the scoreboard, for example), and maybe the possibility to add slots for jerseys.

For colors - take a look on one of the last published screenshots ;) You can add jerseys by cloning them (right-click on an existing jersey to do so), if you have Guru license.
Anyway, i'm glad to hear, there is a guy, who wants to make SuperSonics. Good luck with the patch! (Y)

Appreciate the update Vl@d, best of luck with the school stuff. :)

Thanks, Andrew ;)

school comes before enjoyment??? idk it just sounds smart

Well, maybe it isn't very smart. But, let's say, i have no other choice in the current situation, other than studying and working )))

==========================================
Anyway, about the situation in general. I can really edit everything, which is already decoded, and save changes, but there are still quite a lot of little things left to be done before the release. Will be trying to get to Beta stage before the New Year. :)

I'll keep you updated. Enjoy your Winter Holidays!

Vlad have you been able to figure out how to edit:

1) That grainy/silver color film screen that you see in nba's greatest mode... have you figured out how to add it to regular gameplay?

2) use old school presentation for regular gameplay... the chart of player introductions, the old school score tracker in the bottom of the screen when you play in classic mode... have you been able to control it so that we could have that presentation in regular game play instead of the "modern presentation menus"

3) Black arms... with DLC mode having come out and rookies not having black arms anymore... have you been able to compare files and locate how to edit black arms into white arms?

3) choose and select certain intros we have for games... have you figured out a way to control it? I personally likes the players dribbling and playing with the ball ... as opposed to the players with crossed arms all lined up next each other. Most of my questions are controlling game presentation... hope you've figured out something in this front!

4) For Classic teams playbooks... we can't access them in game... will the new reditor be able to access the plays? I want to get more pick and rolls to be run by Stockton and Malone on the 98 Jazz

Well, Greatests' mode presentation and rendering are something hard-coded, so they can't be controlled by roster.

Black arms can be fixed with IFF-editing. If you ask of 360, i haven't really mess with IFF files. But, yes, if it's possible to export IFFs from the console and import back, then it's possible to fix black arms by editing those files. Again, i don't know (yet) how to edit them. ;)

Aren't pre-game intros just random? If not, the i'll try to find anything interesting.

Yes, all the Playbooks are editable, including Retro teams' playbooks and those special Inbound and *something else, i don't remember* playbooks.
