PG Stephen Curry - Aaron Brooks
I also have this year's Cavs 1st round pick and 3-4 second rounders and a couple of second rounders for the next season.
Contracts running out this year are the ones of Brook Lopez (renewed for 5 years + player option),Blair (team option),Scalabrine ,Turner (2 yrs team option),Azubuike (team option),Bogans ,Brooks (player option).
With only Lopez's contract renewed the salary cap for next year will be a bit over 30M (so it will be around 17M if Turner,Brooks,Blair and Azubuike stay around for next season). I desperately want to get the first pick to choose Anthony Davis!I also hope I can land Gordon,Bynum and Batum at the free agency.
Blair and Azubuike will definitely stay cause they are quality role players with minimal salaries.
Scalabrine and Bogans will stay too if they don't ask much and if I don't find better low-salary bench warmers.
Brooks is a beast sixth man and he unfortunately earns a lot for a bench player but I don't have any option in his matter so I'll have to deal with what he decides. The good thing is that if I decide to trade Curry, Brooks can immediately be my starter.
I really don't know if I should activate Turner's option though.I didn't have any high expecations BUT his salary is ok,he is a very good all-around player with top-SG-potential and at the top 3 in almost every player stat in my team.Would you stick with him or try to sign Gordon/Mayo or trade for Harden?
What about my team? Would you make any changes?
