online games - free throw problem

Hi guys,
I don't know if this post belongs here...so please don't kill me for it.
I have problem with free throws in online games (quick game, team-up). Everytime when I was shooting FT's, I miss every FT (too early 0%) whether I do anything.
But one player against me tried to make FT off the off backboard and he made it! I don't understand this, why I can't make FT's in online games.
Could anybody help me please or explain it?

How much lag are you experiencing when you play online? Even a little is going to make the timing on free throws and jump shots a little more difficult. It's something you have to compensate for.

I noticed that the game is sometimes delayed (mainly Team-up), but quick online game is mostly fluent. I tried to shoot quick release FT, normal release and long release (if the game was delayed), result was always same = too early 0% and my opponent had always same problem too (except for 1 opponent, who shoot off the backboard). I thought it's weird...

Sounds like a common online problem then; I still haven't been able to get an online game going on PC and have basically given up at this point, so I can't speak from experience. As for that one player who was banking in free throws, I guess they've found a way to adequately compensate.
