I didn't wait for the NBA season. To me, an association is a made up world in my game. It doesn't follow the real NBA, it just starts there.
Mode: Association (29 game season)
Qtr Time: 12 min
Sim Time: 12 min
Progressive Fatigue: on
I play locked as Rose on the Bulls with 85-86 Jordan added to the roster. Made some trades early to free cap room to re-sign Rose and assure I can re-sign Jordan when the time comes. Noah, Boozer and Deng were traded, and the main acquisitions were Hibbard, Granger and Hickson. Let the cpu play cpu when Rose is on the bench Play superstar with custom sliders (tweaked from sim sliders). Part of the tweaking was to ensure superstars on my team, but not in my control, would score and play well. Season to date highlights:
- Struggled to win games early, but made it into the playoffs after learning to run the offense and to use Jordan well.
- Pacers in round 1 were a struggle. It was 2-2, but then I began blowing them out after learning to run the offense well.
- Up 3-1 against Boston when Jordan went down with an injury. It was listed as 3-5 weeks. Boston won 2 in a row, but then I beat them with a 33 point, 8 assist, 5 rebound effort.
- Lost game 1 to Miami by 8, but was down 15 with about 3 minutes remaining. Used a half court trap to force some turnovers, but it wasn't enough.
- Looked at the Roster where Jordan was listed as hurt, but at 83. The injury list showed 1-2 weeks, and he was not restricted from being re-inserted into the active roster.
- Game 2 placed Jordan back in the starting rotation with 20 minutes for the game (rotation.) The thought was maybe he could play good D on Wade early, and provide a few points in a first quarter push. I didn't focus the offense on him as usual, but he sat with 4 points after only 2 minutes. He subbed back in late in the quarter. Rose was sitting so it was CPU v CPU. Jordan finished the quarter strong with 6 more points. Jordan was the game MVP - 31 pts, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal. We opened a big lead (14 points) in the 4th, but Miami stormed back to within three. I hit a fadeaway to make it 5, Wade hit a 3 to bring them within 2, Jordan hit a fadeaway with the shot clock expiring to make it 4. Then Wade hit another three to make it 101-100 Bulls with only 1.6 seconds remaining. They fouled me (Rose) with .6 seconds remaining. I drained the FTs and won 103-100.
