Talk about NBA 2K12 here.

Is there a way to edit player ambitions & bodytypes? [PC]

Postby Nick on Sat Oct 22, 2011 1:49 am

^ As title says.

Is there a way to edit player ambition (i.e. loyalty, play for winner, financial security)?

Also, whenever you create a player, they always have the same body shape. There doesn't seem to be much of a way to change it, apart from editing the player's weight. Even then there's not much leeway.

Is there a tool to edit body type? (I.e. the skinniness of kevin durant, or the thick physique of lebron james, etc)

PC i'm talking about.

Wait for the REDditor for 2K12. Or hex editing I think.

hex for right now but that requires finding that one value per player. best bet is to wait for the REDitor

Ah ok, no worries.

Although don't you have to pay for the full version of reditor? What kind of greedy bugger makes you pay for a 2k tool??

yup, but the "free" version allows you to edit the player information tab, including the body types

this ain't like the NBA Live days. Take a look at the rosters thread in the tutorials section to see how shitty roster modding is when compared to Live's DBF files. I'm not happy that the main option for roster editing has to be a pay fer use program, but it's better than nothing and no one else has attempted to make a roster editor for free since 2k9.
Opinions are my own.

I spose if you make the ONLY user-friendly roster editor on the "market", then you're in the position to charge for it.

Vl@d - the 2k monopoly master.

I'm just grateful that there's a free version that will be able to do what i need it to do. (Y)

For what its worth his tool is definitely worth the money. I feel I extended my 2k11's lifespan ten fold thanks to the REDitor. I must have made 8 years worth of realistic draft classes with CFs and made other good game edits with it. The tool I bet will only get better once it becomes available for 2k12.

Not much of the only, but more of the ultiamte, which takes hundreds of hours of work. :D The free version is still powerful, but not ultimate, so... it is free. :)
Anyway, i think, for the community it's better to have me making REDitor, than trading on Forex, for example )))

HE DONATES BOOKS TO CHILDREN WITH THAT MONEY! HE SAID SO HIMSELF!

Sure, I have documented proves of a total donation of more than $400 for books, if you wish. ))) Anyway, it's all about the principle "You're obliged before your nation, so you must help it".

I feel I extended my 2k11's lifespan ten fold thanks to the REDitor.

Glad to hear, i was able to bring positive things to you!

I suppose if it takes hundreds of hours of work then it's fair enough to charge.

Any word on a release date? :)

knowing what I know about the rosters, I don't think the 100s of hours is an over exaggeration at all...

I think he mentioned looking around November-December for the possible first release
