graphics settings help

I know this isn't a patch question, but this is the help section and the reason the forum is here is to make the game better for everyone right, and some of us don't understand as much as others just like some of us don't know how to patch. So I need some help on the best settings. If anything, I'd like the highest settings, but not sure if that is possible or necessary with the hardware I have and this game. I'd still like it smooth too if possible. So what settings should I use?
