Issue with portraits

Postby Mazzocchi on Thu Sep 06, 2012 8:44 am

I essentially only play with the UBR, and the only issue I've been encountering is that literally no portraits show up in game. I downloaded, and installed everything correctly, any ideas what the issue is?

you might need to redownload/reextract/reinstall the portraits file

The base portrait file from a clean 2k12 install? Doesn't UBR overwrite the original portrait.cdf and portrait.iff files all together?

I meant the UBR one, not the default

I redownloaded UBR, that helped a bit (they're now showing up on the sub in/out pop-up, and pre/post game)
Just to clarify, this is where they dont show up:

Is a portrait even supposed to show up here? If not, I'll delete this topic and pretend I ever made it X) Like I said, outside of a few months ago for a few days I've never played vanilla 2K12

Well just two I can think of, and as far as I can research haven't been answered yet

1) Is there a guide or tutorial for creating a full on custom team from scratch? Say I want to create a sort of all-star team, copying a player from this team, one from this team, etc, with custom jerseys/court/etc (hopefully without interfering with other art) what's the steps for doing that? I know there's a lot going into this (especially coming off messing with Live 04' the last few weeks) but I'm interested in learning

and

2) Is it possible to somehow toggle the "filters" maybe along with the scoreboards from the NBA Greatest mode to be active in exhibition games?

no simple guide, but plenty of tutorials in the Tuts section. Pretty much to do it from scratch, with new artwork and stuff, youll need to buy a license for the REDitor...which this close to 2k13, I'd just say wait. You could customize your own logos for a create-a-team in game to use (edit ua/uh 1000-1011.iff files and the logo10##.iff files as needed for the logos you customize)

there is no easy way to explain it though

and no, we never found those values

Is there an easier way to edit the players that are on a created team besides going through the CAT editor? Whenever you do it through there it erases your roster, and you have to start all over

yea, it sucks. For editing player stuff, you could do that with REDitor for free
