Pick-Up Game
Pick-Up Game is pretty much what it sounds like. This is the mode where you have the most freedom to create whatever match-ups you want with plenty of customizable rules option to select from. You can play from 1-on-1 up to 5-on-5 with the ability to choose what you want for things like Difficulty, Game Style (Casual or Simulation), Winning Score (5-50), Clear Ball (On or Off), Win By 2 (On or Off), and Winners Outs (On or Off).

Just like every other 2K game's Blacktop mode. i boo you

This is not Blacktop mode revisited or some simple mode that we yanked off the disc at the last minute. The amount of content we added, from art and presentation to animations and AI, required several months of dedicated time from the team and there’s simply no way it could have been included in NBA 2K12. Legends Showcase really is a full-on unique product that offers a completely different experience from what you get in the main game.

While it does sound like there's a decent amount of substance to the mode, it also really seems like a re-tread of features that were taken out of Blacktop. Tough sell.

Seems about half the comments on the post are blasting 2K for it, the rest are calling those folks haters.

This emoticon can not begin to accurately represent the over-the-top eye-roll I'm doing while reading that "No it's not the good ol' blacktop that we've taken away from your game this year, it's a new DLC" bullcrap, but I'm just going to go ahead and type it anyway.

I hope it was at least a 2K mandate and not something VC did on their own. Sorta like how THQ is making Volition do tons of DLC stuff for Saints Row rather than including it for free.
