changing skintone

Hi I have a myplayer cyberface, and I copy tattoos from other cyberfaces and put it on my myplayer, but I'm having difficulty changing the skintone. For example dejuan blair has much darker skin than my myplayer (I use brook lopez). I have gimp and photoshop cs4 but I can't get it right, it's too dark still, no matter how I edit it. Can anyone help? i've looked for tutorial videos, but nothing really seems to help me. Any help please?

you have to try and extract just the tattoos, not the skin tone, onto the proper skin tone for your player

well i do try, I add a layer mask and contrast the colors after making them black and white, but I always seem to lose the detail of the tattoos, when I see it in the game, it kinda looks like clip-art, instead of a tattoo. I guess I'll just have to try some more. I wish someone had uploaded a video on how to create tattoos for 2k, or how to edit them, lol, but I think that's asking way too much

its not really a 2k specific thing, that comes with just being good at GIMP or PS and knowing how to manipulate textures for what you want

Yea I figured, I just need to learn how to make the contrast better on the darker skinned tattoos.
