New update, doing the off-season in three parts. This is the smallest of the three updates.

Nice draft review. Love the additions of Blair and Daye. Hate that you let Ridnour go. Maybe he's ten points underrated in your roster (He's rated 76 in mine), but he was your best PG.

Keep it coming man.

Like your moves that you don't stack up after 2 seasons. Getting young guys with potential is very nice. Daye and Blair have great upside.

Hope your draft pick works out. :)

Wow 76? That would've made him my 2nd or 3rd best player  he was only rated 62 on mine.

Yeah the Lakers were pretty easy for us, I think it's because Artest is too short to stop Donte Greene from shooting over him and Gasol is too slow to keep up with Ingram. Their PG torched us both times though, and Kobe did too obviously.

POSITION THOUGHTS, STARTERS ANNOUNCED

Not so long ago I just assumed Erick Dampier would be the back-up C to Roy Weaver and get the majority of those minutes. Not anymore however. Channing Frye came out of nowhere and was immensely impressive in every game he played. Roy Weaver struggled with his shooting throughout the pre-season but the same thing happened last year and he ended up an All-NBA 1st teamer. Had it not been... CLICK FOR MORE

Yeah it's kinda weird, I guess though since Weaver and now Ingram have stepped it up so much offensively I need efficient guys in the other spots because they are going to get less shots than before... that said, it's not the last you've heard of Rashad McCants.

Update coming tomorrow, was going to do it today but the Bogut thing killed my mood. There's a 7'4, 19 year old C projected to go in the mid 1st round in the draft. Unfortunately there's also like 3 great looking PG's supposed to go top 5, I think I'll have a lotto pick because I made a trade for New Orleans' one but who knows.. decisions decisions.

Ingram is a poor man's LeBron. He can't shoot as well but he's about the same size (if not bigger) and pretty much just knocks people over getting to the hoop. Though I'm focusing more on taking mid-range shots with him now, so his FG% will drop.

I'm looking into things for myself regarding stats, if they work out, you might be able to automatically add a stats page to your blog (you would have to type them into that Excel file I gave you though) where you just upload the file and it creates a page with tables like nba.com/b-r, etc.

Will keep you posted.

Thanks guys, hopefully I should get another update up in the next few days. A delivery guy dropped a pool table on my back so sitting for extended periods hasn't been too comfortable. I caught it though and lifted it back up, like this:

Image

It wasn't quite as heavy as a car  but the guy said it was 160kgs so close enough. My brother went apeshit at him about it.

I think I might've written down team standings for next months update. I didn't keep them for every month cause it was just so much to write but it should be there for the next one.

I think I'm going to wind this one up. I've been doing it for quite a long time and I sort of feel like starting something fresh once I think of a new cool idea for an association story. I've really enjoyed this one though, considering my first/only attempt at a story ended after 1 game I think 2 and a bit seasons is a decent effort  Thanks to everyone who followed this, in particular megarover, Lamrock, JaoSming, shadowgrin, Thierry, Martti, Valor, De8, Azzdogs, hova, Mark, The x, Sit, Dee24 and anyone else who read this. Even though I'll probably continue to play it off-line, it was made more enjoyable knowing I could post the results and stuff and have you guys read and follow my group of rejects.

So, full season recap coming up with a couple of surprises included. Then I'll end this and start brainstorming something new.

Any guesses where the team ends up this season?
