SWIFT, McCANTS STILL HOLDING OUT
Despite numerous attempts the Baltimore Claws are still struggling to come to an agreement with star shooting guard and lead scorer RASHAD MCCANTS. McCants, who lead the team with 20 points per game last season is said to be weighing up his options as teams from around the league continue to show interest in the undersized scorer. STROMILE SWIFT, unhappy at being replaced in the starting line-up by Mickael Gelabale is continuing to hold out for more money and a guarantee that he will have the chance to play his way back into the starting line-up. The Chicago Bulls are said to be interested in bringing in McCants, while Swift has had interest from both the NBA and Europe.

Nah no lowered cap, he just doesn't want to sign and I'm trying to give everyone what I think their league value is. Like I don't think Gelabale in real life after putting up 15/6 as a second option would get more than 5 mil a season from any other team, especially with Isiah out of the league.



ONE HALF OF THE BALTIMORE BASH BROTHERS RETURNS
Another bench player re-signing for the team today was former D-Leaguer and big man RICH PAYTON. Payton's rebounding and shot blocking off the bench played a large role in Baltimore's promising late season form, and he has been rewarded with a 3 year, 7.5 million dollar contract.

CLAWS RELEASE THREE AS MCCANTS TALKS STALL
Wanting to make room for draft picks, the Baltimore Claws have waived NICK FAZEKAS, SHAWN SINGLETARY and JAKE VOSKUHL. Of the three most assumed Fazekas had done enough to earn his way back for the 10-11 season, but the late season play of Rich Payton left him with no place on the roster. Singletary struggled heavily throughout the year and made one start, but failed to capitalize on his opportunities. The least surprising release was that of Voskuhl, who spent the last three quarters of the season on the injured reserve. The Baltimore Claws wish them well in all of their future endeavours.

In more news coming out of Baltimore, the Chicago Bulls have flown RASHAD MCCANTS in for a private work-out. With the Bulls interest intensifying it remains to be seen if the Claws can hold off their advances and re-sign their top scorer and team leader.

FLIGHT TOUCHES DOWN IN BALTIMORE AGAIN
NLSC favourite JAMES WHITE has re-signed with the Baltimore Claws for a reported 1 year, $464,000 deal. White was said to be weighing up options overseas and had little attention from NBA clubs despite his impressive play off the bench. Ultimately with Rashad McCants looking as if he may sign in the Windy City, White took his chances and returned to Baltimore where he is currently the only shooting guard on the roster aside from Maurice Ager.

Another starter returning to the team, DARIUS MILES has re-joined the Baltimore Claws for the next two seasons on a 6.3 million dollar deal. The defensive efforts of Miles kept him in the starting line-up ahead of James White despite his patchy scoring and lack of outside shot. CHICAGO MAKE FORMAL OFFER TO RASHAD MCCANTS
The Chicago Bulls today announced they have offered a contract to Baltimore Claws shooting guard RASHAD MCCANTS. The deal, rumoured to be in the region of 15 million dollars over 3 years, would see the high scoring McCants join a Bulls back-court already boasting All-Star point guard Derrick Rose.

I wouldn't worry about McCants really. Teams over-pay for high scoring SG's allll the time and they're really a dime a dozen. Once all the dust clears in free agency I'm willing to bet you can find another two who can put the ball in the basket.

I think McCants is replaceable, but I do like him considering without him we would've won like 2 games. The off-season is stressful when guys "want to test free agency".

Having spent the large majority of the season on the injured reserve, the Baltimore Claws today announced they have waived power forward JACKIE BUTLER and small forward RONALD DUPREE. Both players failed to make an impact on the team and ultimately it was decided it was in everyones best interests for them to part company. The Baltimore Claws wishes them both well for the future.

CLAWS FINALLY GET THEIR MAN, MCCANTS RE-SIGNS
After a month of growing concern, the Baltimore Claws happily anounced the return of the teams leading scorer RASHAD MCCANTS for a reported 4 year, 30.2 million dollar deal. Despite overtures from the Chicago Bulls, McCants listed his good relationship with Claws management amongst the reasons for his return which also included wanting to "finish what we started here". Mccants averaged 20 points per game for Baltimore and won the leagues Most Improved Player award. His stand-out performance of the season was a 55 point outburst against the Toronto Raptors, the second highest scoring game for an individual in the NBA in the 2009-2010 season.

It is being reported that Stromile Swift has rejected the Claws latest contract offer and will not be joining the team for the 10-11 season. Rumours were rife of Swifts growing unhappiness after being moved to the bench to accomodate Mickael Gelabale, and it seems the senior member of the Baltimore Bash Brothers will seek opportunities in Europe. The Baltimore Claws organization wishes him well.
