Don't think I'll have much in the way of playoff coverage since I'm not in them. Maybe just summary recap.

Image 2011 NBA PLAYOFFS - FIRST ROUND

EASTERN CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(1)Miami 4
(8)Washington 0

Pivotal Moment: Big 3 (Mia) averaged 84.0ppg, 27.5ppg, 14.0apg, 4.5spg, 4.5bpg; Wizards averaged 82.5ppg, 39.5rpg, 15.0apg, 5.0spg, 7.0bpg.

(4)Chicago 4
(5)Orlando 2

Pivotal Moment: Derrick Rose (Chi) showed his all-star credentials, proving he's one of the best in the game as he averaged 32.7ppg and 7.7apg in beating the Magic.

(3)Charlotte 4
(6)New York 3

Pivotal Moment: Coming back from a 2-3 deficit, Charlotte forward Tyrus Thomas (33 points, 12 rebounds) channelled his LSU Final Four days as he duelled the Knicks' Amar'e (38 points, 9 rebounds) in an epic game 7 with the MJ's Bobcats prevailing.

(2)Boston 4
(7)Detroit 1

Pivotal Moment: In what turned out to be a very scrappy, low scoring series, it was the Celtics' rebounding advantage (49.0rpg) over Detroit (37.0rpg) that was the difference.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(1)LA Lakers 4
(8)Dallas 1

Pivotal Moment: Kobe Bryant (LAL) went into assassin mode, closing out the Mavericks as he scored 47 points, which included 7/11 from beyond the arc, in a 93-91 game 5 win.

(4)Portland 4
(5)Denver 3

Pivotal Moment: Blazers came from behind in this series, eventually winning at home in a game 7 overtime classic, 103-98 after blowing a 14 point fourth quarter lead. Portland shot 43 free throws (making 35 of them) and forward LaMarcus Aldridge (Por) made 15 of 16 himself.

(3)Oklahoma City 4
(6)San Antonio 2

Pivotal Moment: Kevin Durant (OKC) set the tone for the series in game 1, exploding for 51 points (on 21/33 FG, 4/6 3Pt, 5/5 FT) in a big win over the Spurs.

(2)Houston 4
(7)Phoenix 2

Pivotal Moment: The Suns fought hard without injured leader Steve Nash, with Ben Gordon (Pho) averaging 26.5ppg through the first five games of the series. The Rockets held him to only 4 points on 1/10 shooting in game 6 to close out the series.

Add the Rockets making the second round, even more realistic. (Y)

Miami really dominated the Wizards. Sad to see the Mavs playing a really weak season. New Jersey once again sucks big time.

Image 2011 NBA PLAYOFFS – CONFERENCE SEMI FINALS

EASTERN CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(1)Miami 4
(4)Chicago 1

Pivotal Moment: Dwayne Wade (Mia) extinguished any chance of a Bulls' revival in the series, putting the nail in the coffin with a strong effort (32 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks) in a 98-87 win to close out the series.

(2)Boston 4
(3)Charlotte 2

Pivotal Moment: In the pivotal fifth game of the series, Boston was able to escape with a 119-115 overtime win that finally crushed the spirit of the Charlotte Bobcats.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(1)LA Lakers 4
(4)Portland 0

Pivotal Moment: This one is for Lamrock - Brandon Roy's averages for the series: 10.5ppg on 25.0% FG and 14.3% 3Pt, 4.5apg, 3.0TOpg. Is it any surprise that this series ended up as a sweep?

(2)Houston 4
(3)Oklahoma City 0

Pivotal Moment: Rockets were red hot (112.5ppg) for the entire series. They had six players averaging in double digits for the series: Kevin Martin (20.0ppg), Aaron Brooks (19.5ppg), David Lee (19.0ppg), Yao (16.0ppg), Chase Budinger (13.0ppg) and 6th Man of the Year Luis Scola (12.5ppg).

I'm glad most series don't end 4-3 as they do in the associations I've simmed.

Heat can not be stopped.

I downgraded his rating to low 80's midway through season due to his real life woes. I didn't change his skillset or anything like that, just dropped his hardiness to 25, dropped dunk ratings, quickness ratings, jump ratings, anything related to athleticism. He didn't have that good of a playoff series. They were very lucky to get by Denver, mainly due to LMA.

Image 2011 NBA PLAYOFFS – CONFERENCE FINALS

EASTERN CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(1)Miami 4
(2)Boston 3

Pivotal Moment: After blowing a 3-0 lead in the series, Miami’s Lebron James (39 points on 13/19 FG, 2/4 3Pt, 11/12 FT, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals, 4 blocks, 2 TO’s in game 7) saved the day, making a pull-up jumper over Paul Pierce to win the game and the series for the Heat, 109-108.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(1)LA Lakers 4
(2)Houston 1

Pivotal Moment: LA holds the Rockets to only nine points in the fourth quarter of game one, as Lakers forward Lamar Odom (12 points, 22 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals) makes us all forget that the team is winning without star bigman Pau Gasol.
