I don't know why, but I just suck at offense on this game. Every time I come up the court, pick a play, call a pick, isolation etc. Either the ball gets taken from me, or I manage to score some lucky shot. Heck, I couldn't even beat the bench players with the Knicks starters, they also drilled me on my D as well. Any general tips on how to improve my game, or any plays that you guys think are good?

try to tweak game sliders
use pick and roll
and pump fakes heheheh

Just keep working on it. Maybe lower the difficulty until you are completely dominating them and then increase it. You can also try a different camera angle to see the court better.

My suggestion is to experiment with the controls without even worrying about winning. Try the hop step jumpshots with your good mid-range shooters, and simple post hooks and fall-aways. Don't forget about the flick-flick shots with the right stick where you tap twice in either the same or different directions to create some unique shots.
