How to help Double Team for my team mate in My Player?

In My Player mode, how can I help my team mate to double team in defense?

I cannot just go up to a opponent and try steal the ball as it will be a "Bad Steal Attempt". What's the proper way to help my team mate?

when you press the double team button the icons show up and if you, say, press the Center one (as he is defending the ball handler) nothing will happen, and as the ball handler passes the ball to a guard or a forward, you center will let go off his man and double team the guard/forward handling the ball.

The way to do it is to hold down the double team button until you start double teaming the ball handler. Holding it is basically the same as it was pressing it in 2k10. If you can't get used to icon double team selection, holding it will do the same as it did in 2k10 Very useful

Ermm can't seem to work. So I just need to hold onto that double team button and my player will go help my defender to double team the ball handler?

I see what you're getting now. The double team button only works if YOU are guarding the ball handler and you want your teammates to help you.

If you want to help your teammate and double his man, go to the ballhandler and hold the 'clutch' button or whatever it's called in 2K11.

Really? ;o I thought I had it working with holding down the double team button. Gonna have to check it sometime..

you can help your teammate in double team even if you are not guarding the ball handler.
simply press double team button and select yourself (you have to figure out which button is it, it depends of your position) and the "icon" for double team will show above your head for a swift moment. then you just have to approach a ball handler, and you will double team him.
of course, be careful while doing this because many times the ball handler just pass the ball to free player you were guarding few moments ago an you often "allow him to score".

Yeah I know but at times, we simply have to double team some players like YAOMING and DWIGHT.
