I was wondering if there's a way to get the most skill points out of every game...i mean, i'd like to share some tips on how to do to get it done quickly.
i noticed you get many points scoring in transition for example, or selecting a proper shot, or contesting a shot...etc..
what do you usually do on the court to earn your skill points?
just share

what do you exactly mean by slamdunk??
and...alley oop??..is it a way to call for an alley?
i noticed i get the most point by blocking the ball (it's almost half bar..), scoring in transition (just cause you get transition points, good shot selection, and score..)
another question...is there a particular command you use in my player mode?...i mean, i don't know, for instance: icon passing, a particular iso move, pro hop, step back, alley oop, stagger, etc..

if you are a guard, and you think it's either you are still not good in rebounding OR you have a teammate who is a good rebounder, always run down the other court once the opponent shoots the ball. when it misses, your teammate who rebounded the ball will automatically throw a baseball pass on you for a fastbreak layup or slam.. it's better if you can dunk but it is still faster to increase your grade

you can also try to shoot the ball off a pass so that you get good shot selection

What I notice more than anything and is some what easy to get, is rebounds. Rebounds give you a lot, so pretty much every time a shot goes up, I rush in (playing a SG btw). I had a game just now where I only had 13 points on 3-12 shooting but I grabbed 11 rebounds that help me get A+ by the end of the game. Also free throws give ok amount, nothing huge but if you can get to the line and make both or get an And-1 than that's good amount. But so far rebounds are huge for me. It has pretty much saved me from having C's hahah (playing on 6 minute quarters since I'm still in summer league play).

Being a 5'11" PG for Portland, i set many screens to Roy and Miller, after passing to them, sometiems 3-4 during each attack. It allows you to merely get a good grade.
But the real boosters are contesting every shot, fast breaks (yes, you should rush to the opponents basket, when you see them missing - baseball pass, that's the key ))) ), it's twice cool, when you pass for an alley-oop during a fast break. Also, once i managed to grab 4 Off. Rebounds on All-Star difficulty, so this also boosted the meter quite a lot. Actually, always try to run under the basket just after the shot (before backing down is activated), if you're not a starter or have good stamina. Most likely, if you are a guard, you'll grab 1 rebound out of 8-10 runs. This won't make many holes on Tranansition D, and if you're tired, you'll just get to the bench for a couple of mins.

I have a 6-6 guard and he averages 8 rebounds per game with my rebounding at 25. To get the most points you have to do everything out there. Go for lose balls hit high % shots run the floor in transition get fouled and grab boards. It is very easy to get at least 1000+ skill points a game if doing those things. Also set picks a lot and hit spot up jumpers.

Fastbreak points and slam dunks (for highlights). But i guess playing good defense have high increase in rating and also rebounding.
I have 7 minute per quarter and im averaging 18 pts, 3-4 rebs. , 3-4 assists, 1-2 stls and 1 block and I usually get around 1500 skill points a game. Im an athletic SG 6'6"

I agree with the picks. Setting picks is an easy way to get teammate rating without doing much. Plus if it leads to a score you get a small boost also.
The most valuable actions are the ones that in real life are the most valuable, ie. great shot defense, steals, assists, blocks.

ya....setting picks is an easy way to go, but it takes a lot to put the right pick just cause sometimes the ballhandler doesn't follow your pick, so eveything gets screwed up
well, as you said, rebounding the ball is a tremendous way to get many points out there...offensively and defensively, so i suppose i'd increase the vertical, and rebounding abilities.
i don't know for the steals, cause it could expose you to an easy bucket (i mean if you go for the steal..)
i prefer to stay with my man and get a good defense call.
blocking the ball also gets you many points ...(propably better than rebounding..)

Yeah blocks are huge, and I agree with the steal comment. Don't commit to it unless you're extremely quick on the uptake and KNOW that you're at least going to tip the pass.

Defence definitely wins the day. For blocks I've noticed you get almost half a bar for 'Good Shot Defence' and also another half for 'Blocked Shot'.
Is there a way to cut to the basket and call for Alley Oop's?

Do screens on offense. That is what I do, I always get A. And assist.
