NBA 2k11 Bugs/Glitches

There are more bugs in this game than i thought.

In european PC version noticed:

- blocking faul (instead of offensive foul - very annoying!)
- no heads under the basket in replay mode
- bad steal attempt in My Player Mode (how they know it)
- shooting guard can play as power forward (My Player Mode)
- can't disable this orange circle from replay mode

and the largest bug of this year : ONLINE

LAGGING/DISCONNECTING/ and this horrible low graphic - my eyes bleeding when I see this!


All of this problems are known but i wanted to confirm that.

have issues with the Jordan Challenge mode.

At random after the end of a quarter or during a timeout with the Coach or Player highlight video the game stops progressing. It will not get passed the video.

I cannot continue the game.

It only happens during the Jordan Challenge. My player and The association is fine.
But EVERY time I try a jordan challenge the game just sits there during a timeout or end of quarter animation. All i can do is QUIT. not even SAVE+Quit which is really horrible cause I cannot complete the Jordan Challenges now.

This happened to me, too.

try to wait for it.like you are watching and listening to it, and not skipping.worked for me.game resumed in about 2 mins. I waited for it. didn't want to repeat the father's day game.damn those rebounds.i shit myself like crazy collecting those 9 damn rebounds.

My game works perfectly (so far) except for My Player, everything is going smooth, EVERYTHING, but sometimes (it can also happen a lot), after finishing a game, after showing the Player of the game, and the "Saving User Profile", when I 'Quit' the game to go to the press conference or to the home menu. It crashes, so I need to play the whole fucking game again. Better fix this 2K!

update your video card drivers.Never had the same problem since.

did you run the benchmark? if you do the game runs better but is still stuck with low settings

Yes, I did. Many times. I've about 50 fps on maximum settings and good speed from my internet provider ( good ping also).
Last year i was able to play on maximum graphic settings with 80% people without lags, but now it's hard to play smoothly even I change the seetings to low/medium and run the benchmark

im not sure what the solution Jao..but this is what happen to me..
1st time i install the game i dont get this problem,then i put some patch work from here (desktop icon(shortcut icon),cf,jersey,court,global..) and i got this problem..
So i reinstall the game..the only one i replace is the desktop icon..start the game...and still got the same problem..i quit from the game,delete my 2k11 save folder,and start the game again,and the problem still there...but somehow,accidentally i delete my desktop icon,..so i make new one,im not replace it this time..start the game..and the problem gone.. ...
im curious,so i reinstall the game one more time...put some some patch file except the desktop icon...and no more problem..
so,the icon that causes this problem??..im not sure..

Of course. As far as the milestone goes, I got it after shooting 71% in a game (12/17 I think) so maybe I needed 70+% FG to get it instead of 60? Well, it doesn't really matter, the thing's glitched anyway. Either the milestone description is wrong or the game really did ignore my two previous games with 60+% FG and 10 shots taken.

I was trying out My Player last night and it didn't crash once, during gameplay or when I tried to save. Is it happening under certain conditions or after you've progressed past a certain point?

For me it crashed when I hit "exit" after a finished game. Just went to desktop as if I hit "exit" in the main menu, no error messages, no nothing. As for the conditions/point I'm almost certain it's completely random. Mine crashed after like 16th or 17th NBA game, no crashes before and ever since thus far.

I've been messing around with the roster and I've noticed that there are some players that you just cannot change their roles. No matter how many or how few minutes they have, if you change their player role and save it, then quit out and go back in, the role is back to what it was before the change.

Off of the top of my head, Craig Brackins on the 76ers is one example. The game has him set to Role Player and I wanted to change that to Prospect. So I did and I saw it autosave. After quitting out and going back in later on, he was back as a Role Player.I tinkered with his minutes, gave him more, gave him less, moved him up and down in the rotation, changed him to Prospect each time and saved it. It would reset to Role Player each time after I quit out of the game and went back in later.

There's quite a few other players this happens to, not just him. I'm assuming it's a bug.

In the German Version they translated "Forwards" in the All-Star Votes Menu to "Stürmer".... But Guards and Center stay the same...
In Germany we call them Forwards, too, you do not translate this -.-

Also I hate commentators bug on PC. When with the ball Will Bynum, commentators say that with Ball Andrew Bynum, same with Greg Monroe, commentators says that Karl Melone with the ball.

I'm not able to hit 3 Pointers in My player Mode....

Got 90 3Pt, 90 Shot in Traffic around 70 Clutch and I'm not able to hit open 3's though getting a perfect release..... I'm hitting 12% of my Shots from Outside i think...

UniversalNoob, wow, I thought it was just me missing threes. I'm shooting 7%, although my 3pt is at 55. Still, I should be shooting at the 25-30% at least.

Yeah this is so dumb. Last year nickname was an option. No nickname and they'd call the number. Now you can't have no nickname which is so annoying.

FOR PC : Can someone help me. I saved my MYPLAYER in the middle of a game ( by save & exit game ). Then when I tried to load it it crashes back to my desktop. Now I can't load it anymore, I made a new one. I' m on my 9th game in MY New MYPLAYER, I scored 70 points, but when I finished my game it CRASHED BACK TO THE DESKTOP. What the hell is happening? O.o

Did you save it during a time out? Because 2k said that's a bug, if you saved during TO it corrupts.

I can't remember if I saved my first my player data during a timeout but my second my player data , I finished the game then it crashed.

I dont know if everyone has this problem, but I have... When you start association or season, the cpu always resets rotations randomly..

There are few annoying bugs in the game, but this one is the biggest for me...
After less than 10 games TRADING VALUE of all of my players went down to one star:



Luckily, I made all my trades at the beginning of the season, but now I am annoyed with offers. So many offers for Smith, Gay, Mayo for lousy players (all graded one star). The only good side is that now I can sign Horford for 1,09M$ per season...
